Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Imagine a world where you were asleep for a hundred years or so, only to wake up to find out the world isn’t what it used to be and Ganon is back at it being a bag guy! But what can you do? The answer? Whatever you want. The world belongs to you!

Welcome to the open world that is Breath of the Wild, a facilitating yet beautiful new entry in the LoZ series as well as a launch title for the New Nintendo Switch. With this game being as massive as well as all the hype, I will admit, this may be one of my favorite games of the year. Here’s why!

The graphics are something that I’ve been before, but seeing it for this game just made it something special. I’m not a gigantic fan of the cell shade type deal, but something about this drew me to it and I can’t really place why. Maybe it is the fan girl in me or maybe it’s something more. It’s hard to say. The graphics were so well constructed and just in it’s own original beauty, it’s hard to think of anything bad to say.

The creatures, people and bosses are beautiful and unique to the LoZ world. Each thing in the world brought something unique to the table whether it was a weapon, or a piece of food. Everything did something in this game and had some use. I don’t think I’ve killed anything and never had something I couldn’t use drop. I always had use for something, unless I couldn’t carry any more weapons, but that was ok šŸ˜€

So this brings up something else, there is durability loss in this game, and to me it’s a big weird, but at the same time I kind of like it. Durability is different game to game. Sometimes items are just unusable until you repair them, or sometimes they just disappear into oblivion. In BoW, you literally have to carry multiple weapons, shields and armor pieces with you at all times because once the item drops, you lose it forever. There’s no repair function in the game, and I find that a bit odd. I mean, there are some tricks that can “repair” them or you can find the unbreakable weapons, but I just find it weird. I literally can’t think of anything that doesn’t let you repair.

Combat is a lot of fun in this game, and they let you go anywhere you want, whenever you want. If you want to do the boss fight, then go. Fight him to your hearts content! May Zelda bless you…..like really. You’ll probably die a few times but where there’s a will there’s a way!   There’s no skills to really level up in the game, but you do unlock spells to help you out through trials and what not. There’s weapons you can steal from other creatures or find throughout the areas. But the biggest thing is there’s open combat. You can fight whatever you want, when you want and how you want.  My favorite part is you can literally stealthily kill your foes by sneaking into their camp and throwing a bomb, or shooting a fire arrow and stuff like that. The possibilities are endless!

The storyline is great as well. With it being an open world you have the typical Hero/Villain, Save the Princess type deal, but it goes a little deeper than that.  I’m aware the game has been out for awhile, but I also know there’s many people who have yet to play it, so I’m keeping it at that. I don’t want to spoil anything for you guys.

I really enjoyed the game, just like I enjoy my switch. I’m very happy with it and can’t wait to see if anything else happens in Hyrule.
I give LoZ BoW 9/10 rupees. I love this game and it’s do what you want whenever attitude. The fact that it’s gorgeous, creative and very inclusive make it a def. top 10 for 2017.  But there is still more to come am I right? Half way through the year we got this!!

World of Warcraft: Legion

The next, in my opinion, EPIC AWESOME STELLAR expansion came out for World of Warcraft! Now, I wasnā€™t a big fan of the past two expansions and frankly, I was about to just full on stop playing because I mean, come on. Alternant time time? Whatā€™s up with that bull crap!!!! And going back on the whole ā€œWeā€™ll never make Pandaā€™s a playable race.ā€ PFFFFFFTTTTT!!!!!!!!!

Now, this may be my inner fan girl screaming, but when I saw that Illidan was going to be a part of this expansion I instantly felt the hype. I mean full on 1000000000% was into this expansion. But then, I had to start thinking like an adult. Was this game going to be worth it? Was it another Alternate timeline? What was going to be in this game? There were a lot of questions, that didnā€™t have a lot of answered when this game was revealed.

So, letā€™s get into the story line a little bit. Gulā€™Dan decides he isnā€™t awesome enough and tries to go after Illidan (Squee) and ends up dying or something of that nature. While, the Emerald Dream gets corrupted with the NIghtmare (thatā€™s some Kingdom Hearts shit right there) and of course. Heroes! We need you to save the world and things!!!!

Iā€™m all for this expansion, for quite a few reasons, and have been suggesting this to veterans and new commers a like. The game is great in the fact itā€™s a new area, a new op class as well as new raids. If youā€™re all for the MMO aspect of the game, you may be pleased with the return of players, both new and old and young and gnomes. Bleh, gnomesā€¦.

Anywhoooā€¦.there are so many new things in this game, that itā€™s a little hard to actually talk into detail about every single thing, but Iā€™m going to start with the fanciest of the things.

Artifact weapons. Now, I know what youā€™re saying. Look, LIly. I get it. Itā€™s the all mighty weapon that Iā€™ll use for a few levels then Iā€™ll get rid of it for this epic lootz that drops from this boss.

Nope. The artifact weapon is literally only as good as the time you put into it. You get Artifact power and runes that empower them and give you special perks. The best part about these weapons is that they each have a neat little background story that helps tie them into lore. Though some of them are fatfetched. A lore master like myself, can appreciate them a little bit and I was excited to learn about the new pieces.

Demon hunters are now a thing. You fought one back in Burning Crusade. But now, you ar eable to play them and be a tank or DPS. Now, I know what a lot of people thought, itā€™s another DK scandal. To be honest. Yes. There are a lot of people who are playing Demon hunter. Yes, they are a little OP and can do a lot of shit solo. But, at the very same time. For the moment being, itā€™s pretty neat being an acrolyte for Illidan and helping stop the legion from pouring into the world untilā€¦..*the next is spoiilers so I wont talk about them* (edit, since legion has been out for awhile I will add that you get captured by the wardens only to be released to help save the world and you get to prove your worth to the world)

Class halls/Order Halls

So this is a literal copy and paste from the Garrison in WoD. After they promised us it wouldnā€™t be. I do feel a little lied to with this. I mean come on. I donā€™t want to do this shit! The only way to make your weapon epic…Class hall shit. Only way to get certain quests you need: Class hall shit. Come on Blizz. Is this really something you wanted? Like really.

To not fly in this game…is terrible. The landscape is so beautiful! I canā€™t believe I literally cannot enjoy it by flying! I mean this is my major complaint every single expansion, but itā€™s so easy to hit a hot key, turn into a bird and fly away to get the next quest ect ect. But I guess as long as they add it soon I can be ok with this. Plus, Flap is a thing. Google that. Balance Druid: Flap.

New lands, new NPC, new raids.

This is going to be a neat thing to talk about because I am actually happy to see some of the old lore play out. My favorite thing is that they have Odyn and Helya and Fenrir and all of that awesome stuff into this area. They play real heavy with the lore that is in the main lands and such and itā€™s nice!

No more Yrel! Thank GOD on this one, I mean like seriously. I couldn’t be happier. I skipped and jumped when I left my garrison only to return for my pet balttle things because of my collection addiction šŸ˜‰

But really. I am OK with this expansion. A little sad I havenā€™t seen Illidan yet, but thatā€™s OK. Iā€™m sure heā€™ll appear…for now itā€™s OK.

My heart, does go out to the Anduin. Iā€™ve never really wanted to actually hug any NPC before. Like really mean it. But him. I really needed to. *I wont go into details since this game just came out* (Edit: yeah well…It still hurts to talk about it :?)

All in all, this is one of my favorite expansions besides The Burning Crusade. Iā€™m happy with it and canā€™t wait to see what direction Blizzard takes it!

Legion getā€™s a solid 9/10 Demon Souls

Dungeon Defenders II

I have always enjoyed tower defense games, and I must say I have had more fun with Dungeon Defenders more than any other game I have played, even the Star Craft II ones.

The beautiful installation do the Dungeon Defender line brings the legacy to a new beginning. I don’t think I have enjoyed a DD game more than I have this.

Those who know about the franchise knows that in the first game you play as children of great heroes and its up to you to save your parents. This game is a bit later and you play as an older version of the children you played years ago. With that being said, the gameplay is almost identical to the first game, same controls same fancy things but don’t let that fool you!!!! This is a new game!

With every game there’s more and more things to explore and defend. The maps have to be one of my favorite things with this game. There are more interactive things. Many of the maps require a fair amount of teamwork and strategy that I find intriguing. What’s the point of games like this if you don’t have to actually think? I don’t know about you guys but I like games that make me use may Britain!!!

I started playing the apprentice, but I have changed to the huntress since then. I like the thought I have to put in with her traps and I like her special moves. Thought I like the idea of powerful continuous bursts of magic, I like the idea of strategy. Each character has their own strengths that compliment the other characters but its a matter preference and how much fun you’re having.

There is only one complaint I have about the game. Why is this game not out yet? I love the idea of starting from fresh I love the new story line I can literally think of nothing negative about the game. Well maybe the fact the squirrel on the first map doesn’t come out of the tree when I wanted him to.

I am also a little confused by the censor in the game. There a few everyday non curse words that are blocked and it makes working with other people a little hard.

This game gets a 9/10 Crystals! I loved this game I want to forever play it until a 3rd one comes out!!!!!  Its really the chat system that knocked off a 10/10 game. If it wasn’t some this that didn’t interfere with the game I would not have cared too much, but it happens. This is still a fantastic game and would recommend it!!!!!!

Don’t Starve Together

So I know I said I would be on the ball and actually be on time with reviews…well once moreā€¦*sigh* Life just doesn’t like me…Anyways…yeah so New plan…a new better plan that involves planning! AWAY!!!!

I have the most wonderful chance to get to play Donā€™t Starve Together! This game…is so much fun and challenging at the same time. This review is also delayed, but if you were watching my stream a bit a go, youā€™d see how much fun I had playing with friends and getting attacked by a giant tree creature… (Positng the link below!)

The concept of this game is simpleā€¦.donā€™t starve, donā€™t go insane and donā€™t die. Each is difficult in itā€™s own manner.

Donā€™t Starve

You go around the world and collect item that may or may not be edible. Most of the time I found if you throw something in the fire youā€™d be safe but other times I wasnā€™t as lucky. If you donā€™t make a cooler or something similar your food will spoil and make you sick..and then you can skip to the third step, donā€™t die.

Donā€™t go Insane

This one I found to be difficult when you forget simple things like a camp fire or anything with light for the night time. Once you are at a certain point in your sanity the creepy shadow creatures you see at night start to attack you…and it leave your friend wondering what is wrong with you…A lot. The answer is a lot.

Donā€™t Diā€¦..arrrrrrgh!

Everything can and will kill you if given the right motive. Whether you try to eat their young or you burn down their home. Nothing is safe, almost like Australiaā€¦.We had Wolves, bees, Tall legged birds and even Trees (You know…the things with Bark and leaves that aren’t supposed to move?) attack usā€¦.It was rough but at least I could see my Sister, Anabell, again.

Did you see the graphics?

I sure did! The unique style this game brings a new Idea that simple is better (kind of like Minecraft but not so Pixelated ya know?). Each character, item and creature have their own special colors, shapes and characteristics. This game really stands out to me!

Shake, shake that game gurl!

Itā€™s a click to play game, like Diablo, Wildstar and many other games. I feel you have a little less control of where you stop moving than controller and WSAD games, but I feel like that may just be me! I found myself walking into the wrong areas because I misclicked or held my mouse buttons down for too long. I mean, I donā€™t mind trouble, but sometimes it happened at the worse times! Oops!

All joking aside, I fell in love with this game. I like the lack of voice particularly. Each character had itā€™s own unique sound so even if you weren’t looking at your screen you could tell when someone needed your attention. The graphics and the points of survival made this one of my top games for 2015… I only wish I had more hours in the day to enjoy this game!!

Donā€™t stave Together gets 9/10 carrots. I highly recommend this game to anyone whoā€™s looking for a great way to spend time and a little money. This game becomes more fun when you bring your friends with you! Survive or perish together!

Pokemon ORAS

I have been smashing my face against my desk for a few weeks now, the real world decided to test me and so far I passed but who knows nowadays.

I want to start off the new year with a great step! Well…kind of great. I have, I hope youā€™re sitting down, lost my POkemon X game, and my plan to transfer over my Eveelution team failed. Miserably…so…That was a thing. After so many hours I got all but one back…so thatā€™s a start.

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are your typical Pokemon games, and with every new game there are new features they add. Many of the features that the game has comes from previous games. I.E Pokemon Amie, Training dummies ect. I do, however, like the sneaking around and DexNav. Though I am set in my ways of the Perfect (and Shiny!!) Eevee trainer, I canā€™t help but want to be a master.

The DexNav to me is both exciting and depressing. ā€œBut Uniā€¦.why depressing? You can catch a pokemon with up to 3 perfect IVs!!!ā€ Yea…I know this but…Iā€™ve thought about it and it appears that other have the same thought as well, these are Breedjects. Pokemon trainers didnā€™t want because they were imperfect. Though you do give them a second chance to find the love they are looking for, they were still released. But that is just a theory.

Getting into the new features, Secret Bases. Oh my gosh…This was a neat little thing they added.  I enjoy the idea of having fake friends that hang out there and give you cool things! They havenā€™t given me anything too cool yet but Iā€™m hoping!! My favorite part of the Secret Base would have to be the customizable options you have!

Other than those two things, itā€™s a pokemon game. You go around becoming a master by catching them all, defeating the gym leaders and ultimately the Elite 4 ect.  There isnā€™t anything more to this game beside the fact you are reliving your childhood in color and 3d (gosh if only…it was around back then!)

I have found it hard to put the game down, and I must say itā€™s a lot easier for me to balance my time between Warlods of Draenor, ORAS and work. But I am now a Master of Real life! HAZAH!

Iā€™m going to give ORAS a 9/10 PokeBalls. Why not 10/10? This time, I literally feel like certain things are handed to you instead of earning them or finding them as you explore. I like having to work for fancy things instead of them being all ā€œHERE YOU GO BECAUSE IS YOU YES?ā€  In X and Y i felt more challenged to get certain items and found that the perfect team will get you far. Now I feel like you don’t have to put the time in to achieve greatness.

Super Smash Bros. For the Wii U

With so many new games out, it was hard for me to find the time to sit down and write about the ones I have played. So Iā€™m going to start with the one, in my opinion, that is well over due and everyone needs to give it a chance.

I remember sitting in front of my TV with my best friend beside me. I turn on my gamecube and there it is on the screen. ā€œSUPER SMASH BROS.ā€ (It was Melee of course because it was gamecube). Endless amounts of fun came from this game, especially during summer vacation.

Super Smash Bros for the Wii U really reopened my childhood memories of playing with my friends. The endless hours playing this fantastic game it gave me, I couldnā€™t wait to play it when I heard it was being remade! Now, you may be asking yourself something. ā€œBut Unicornā€¦.They came out with Brawlā€¦.that was a remake tooā€  Well…yeah but…Never mind that!

Truth be told, I was super excited about this game because from what I have gathered, there werenā€™t that many CD problems with this game, and Iā€™m sorry but Handheld versions to me of this game arenā€™t going to give me the thrill of holding the controller and the ā€œriskā€ of throwing it into your TV. Oh yeah, those were the days. Please note: I donā€™t condone the breaking of your TVā€™s by anger.

So letā€™s start with the basics right? Many of the original characters plus new ones are here! The one that was weird to me was they made Zelda and Sheik two separate people. Zelda back in the day was one of my favorite players. But I found myself leaning more towards another character nowadays. With many of the old faces, there are many news ones as well. They added Bowser Jr, Greninja Pac Man and many others.

There isnā€™t much of a stroy line to this game, you beat the tar out of your friends, CPU and other unlockable characters who you swear are always cheating. There are several mini games you can play besides the brawls. My favorite game besides brawling, is the Smash mode. Youā€™re put against (cheating) teams and after so many you get to fight the character you can unlock. How awesomely nostalgic?

The controls, to me, are 100% the same and that helped my childhood blossom in this game. I did noticed that sometimes the controls wouldnā€™t register and when I got knocked off the edge, I couldnā€™t get back most of the time. I know what you are probably thinking too ā€œwhat a terrible playerā€ Well no…even when I would try to jump on the stage it wouldnā€™t recognize it.  Now, Iā€™m not saying this is a huge flaw in the game, and it may even be my controller, but Iā€™ve seen it happen with a new controller and even the WII U controller.

There are a few more things that made me fall for this game again. The graphics and the stages. Iā€™m not saying that the graphics for all of the other games were terrible, they werenā€™t. In Fact for the time periods they were beautiful and fantastic! But Drool on the screen? Come on, who doesnā€™t like seeing that when you smash your foe into oblivion?! If you donā€™t well…maybe youā€™re into the new stages? Iā€m personally a fan of the non moving stages. I felt them to be more challenging then the stages now where thereā€™s actually a routine and if you blink youā€™re gone.

I do like that we have more places to pummel faces but some of the stages are just so silly I canā€™t think of a good reason to have them. I saw one of my favorite stages from the Gamecube version. The spaceship. When I saw that one I was immediately needed to play this stage. For those who havenā€™t played it yet, itā€™s not the same. You jump from little ship to little ship all while trying NOT to get knocked off during stage changes. And we all know the CPU cheats. (wink wink)  Though, after awhile you get use to the moving stages itā€™s nice to have the old time ones too, like Nessā€™s Town of Onett (or Namic when youā€™re super pumped on adrenalyn), where your biggest problem were those stupid cars that you donā€™t see because youā€™re too busy fighting n things.

All in all this game is fantastic! The new characters, stages and games just made this a perfect memory to add to my nostalgia collection. If you havenā€™t had a chance to play the original and Melee, you really need to!  It may help understand the ā€œfrustrationsā€ of small children without the real danger of getting controllers thrown at you. (Long story, but totally worth it)

I give this game a 9/10 Hammers. Like I said, this game has been a wonderful addition to the Smash Broā€™s world and really woke up the child in me. I havenā€™t felt like this towards a game in a long time, save Omega Ruby (review next weeeeeeeek! WHOOT!)  If you like the inner child in you and want to let it out as an adult, this is the perfect game for you! My only real complaints in the stages and some of the controls.

Release your inner child and definitely pick up this game!!

Five Nights at Freddy’s

In the spirit of October, This month’s reviews will all be spooky scary games! This game is definitely one of those games! Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE being scared but this is insane o.o

Let’s start off by the story. You are a security guard working the late night shift at a Chucky Cheese Knock off. The pay is good and all you have to do it watch the cameras, and live until 6 am. Wait a minute…Live? Um…I’m sorry but I didn’t think I would have to worry about my life at a kids party place…. Every day you receive a recorded message from the person before you. He tells you that the animatronic animals that entertain children during the day, are out to kill you at night. This sounds like a Horror Movie…Like NIGHT OF THE LIVING ROBOTS!!!!! Well, you have one one way of protecting yourself. Shut the doors. Oh, so hard I know. But you have a limited source of energy to work with and everything you do besides moving your head uses the precious energy.

The first night is super slow, and you don’t have a lot to worry about except Mr. Psycho Bunny out to stuff you in a suit. Eep! You watch the camera’s and see where they are moving. But remember, everything you do uses energy. Ideally, I would want to keep all of the doors shut but you run out of Energy so quickly…and when you do run out…Oh boy. To your right, you see eyes light up and a happy song play as the eyes blink, once the eyes are done being scary you can either pray the clock turns to 6am or accept the fact you’re about to be stuffed into a roboy skin.

As you progress through the levels, the robots get quicker and more intelligent. It’s almost like they know your every move. I must admit, my favorite part of the Pirate Cove’s very own Foxy. The fact that she is so creepy, she is also the only robot that you know for sure what direction they’re going and you have a short time to respond. And let’s sure hope you respond fast…Now, let’s say you fail to react fast. This is when the scary part happens. If you fail to catch them they will get you. They will scream and they will act like inflatable flailing arm tube man.

Once you last past the 5th night, a special 6th night appears. DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNN!!!! This version of the typical nights, you will get no calls and everything goes down right away. The AI are quicker and more deadly…Never thought I could be so scared of a video game. I don’t think I every jumped higher in my life!!! If you manage to get past the mysterious and deadly 7th night you unlock a special night where you can set the intelligence level. The higher you make it, the faster the AI come to get you and the less time you have to react.

Everything is a click base style, the flip the light on and to shut the door you hit the button.  You flip through cameras by clicking on them and monitor your fuzzy metal friends. The graphics are something that made this game stand out to me. It’s creepy as hell. When you see the guys staring at the camera with their mouth ajar with those cartoonish teeth, I about crap myself. It’s almost like they peer into your soul….and will slowly drive you insane and can actually through you off your game and possibly get you killed.

If you happen to enjoy getting scared, I recommend giving this game a try. It starts off super slow but it really picks up as the nights go on. It’s literally harder and harder to survive later in the game. I suggest playing this game in the dark with headphones. There are a lot of noises you can miss that can make or kill you.  Now, don’t be afriad of the dark and as long as you stay when the place is open you’ll be ok.

I give this game a wicked 9/10.

Tropico 5

I really enjoy the Civilization games.  So when I finally got a hold of a copy of this game, it’s safe to say that I was not disappointed. This is definently going in my top games for the year. I really enjoyed this game and there aren’t that many things I didn’t like.

You start off on this beautiful island, either by yourself or with friends/random people. You are given a set amount of money and a quest to break away from the crown and be free!!!! Or fail miserably and just stare at the screen and sigh…wondering what could you have done better…There’s  always that ONE thing that you can think of and then when you restart the game it doesn’t matter if you needed more Bananas. Now you need Llama’s to make the people happy!

The story line is pretty much what I had explained above. Gain your freedom and live and thrive on an island. But watch out, you upset the wrong people and it wont be fun for you. No..not really fun. Every once in awhile, a bad choice will result in some of your citizens going insane and rioting. It’s kind of like “WE DON’T LIKE THE LLAMA’S BRING BACK THE BANANAS!!!!!!” As you evolve into history, the more you learn who good or bad you’re doing.

You have the wonderful option to chose between a dictator ship or a democracy. Me, being the every one is equal in the say of the government and how I run it, chose Democracy. Let me tell you something, No matter what I did those people hated me. I filled the town with bars, operas and schools and they slammed me down. During the elections you have a wonderful option to Kill, Banish or bribe the people running against you. But when one person leave another takes his place.  I found it difficult making those people happy.

The graphics are very similar to Civ 5,which made the Catherine* in me happy as can be! I enjoyed the simple graphics for the large area.  The little details of the tiny trees get me every time. There is just so much details in the little buildings. It’s a little taste of what it’s like to be a overseer of a world.  Don’ t like the road? It’s gone! Don’t get me started on the roads..they’re just like the Civ roads. No such thing as straight roads.

Over all, I adore this game. It’s a neat twist of Civ. Tropical Island, fancy dictator (or president) that you can customize. I found myself  sitting down and playing this game for hours and playing story lines, experimenting with different ideas and rules.

I happily give this game a 9/10. I never found myself getting upset with this game. No matter how hard I failed. I love the game with the humor, graphics and just the over all game play.

Dragon Coins

Dragon Coins is a great way to kill time. I am a huge fan of the coin dozer games so when you mix it up with some fancy monsters what could go wrong? Besides the slightly addicting side.

I had came across this game while i was at training. I do want to add this is why I have not been posting often.  With training over now i will be back in the game!  I find this game to be a wonderful way to kill time when thereā€™s nothing else to do and you leave your 3DS in your hotel room.

The game play is simple. Your goal is to defeat the rounds by dropping coins into a platform. You have unlimited. Coins but you do have an amount of turns before the opposing monsters fight. Like most games your goal is to become powerful and collect monsters to evolve and fuse.

It’s all touch based, so all you have to do is place the coin on the dozer and knock coins off into your monsters at the bottom of the screen. Each monster has a specific amount of coins needed in order for them to attack. There are also blocks that you can get that gives your monster enough power to use their special ability. The special abilities range from speeding up the dozer to 2X the attack. Throughout the mission, you have chances to get monsters, through gems.  At the end of each round there is a boss fight the boss drops more coins and a possibility of a rare monster.

The graphics are simple and adorable. For a mobile game theyā€™re crisp and clear, but it might be because I have the HD screen, but I was fairly impressed with them. Thereā€™s not a lot to them really.

I enjoyed the time Iā€™ve spent playing this game, and have never felt the need to spend money on this game to get extra features. I give this game a 9/10! Give it a try if you have the free time, I can tell you, you wonā€™t be disappointed!!!

Pokemon Rumble U

After finally having enough to get a Wii U one of the first games I got to play was Pokemon Rumble. This game is a very fun platform game where you play as little toy Pokemon and you became lost when the person who was putting you out fell. You now have to find your way back to the toy store so you can be purchased and loves by the children who buy you.

You start off with the started Pokemon from Pokemon Black and Pokemon White, since this game was released in August of last year and X and Y hadn’t been released. As you play through the stages you “befriend” more Pokemon that you can use to clear stages.

In the beginning you use the controllers but as the stages become more difficult, you get to use the touch pad to use a huge AoE. They’re fairly simple controls as well. If you have a WiiMote, you have to hold it on your side and use 1 and 2 to attack and the arrows to move around. The regular controller is the basic A and B keys and the joystick to move.

The graphics are very colorful and adorable. They did a great job matching the background and the challenge titles together. There are a few games that don’t so this was a nice touch for me. The characters themselves were very chibi like. They had the large head and the little body, and even included their original sounds from the actual game.

The storyline itself is a little cliche and boring in some points. Zekrom seems to be the main bad guy in this game. After defeating every stage he appears and talks some depressing chitchats and then it’s off to the next level.

All in all this game is super fun when you play with friends but it’s just as fun to play alone.  Not only is it very involving it’s a great time killer. Depending on the power of your Pokemon the stages can last seconds to minutes.

This game is just super fun and it’s something you should check out!! Now sadly, this game is not free. It’s $17.99 USD and can be purchased from the Nintendo Store. It is also available for the 3DS.

I give this game a 9/10. I really enjoyed the game, but I wish there was a way to combine Pokemon to increase their powers.  That is about the only negative thing I have about this game but it doesn’t really affect the game play much.
