Last Epoch

As a long time follower of the Diablo series, I found myself pleasantly surprised by Last Epoch. From the moment I delved into its world, I was greeted by an experience that seamlessly blended familiarity with innovation. The gameplay is not only enjoyable but also remarkably easy to grasp, making it a breeze to immerse oneself in the adventure. One of the standout features of Last Epoch is its engaging monoliths, each offering a distinct and captivating challenge.

Whether I was soloing or teaming up with friends, the experience remained consistently entertaining, perfect for those moments when I wanted to unwind and listen to a podcast while grinding away. However, no game is without its flaws, and Last Epoch is no exception. One aspect that left me wanting more was the lack of free respecs, which can be a deterrent for players eager to experiment with different builds without facing hefty penalties.

Additionally, while the concept of set gear holds promise, its current implementation falls short of expectations, failing to deliver the depth and excitement that such gear should bring to the table. The restriction on trading items across different maps can feel limiting and frustrating, hindering the potential for player interaction and commerce.

Despite these setbacks, Last Epoch earns a solid 8/10 rating from me. Its enjoyable gameplay, coupled with the unique challenges offered by the monoliths, make it a standout title in the action RPG genre. With some refinement, particularly in addressing the issues with respecs, set gear, and trading, Last Epoch has the potential to elevate itself even further and secure its place as a must-play for fans of the genre.

New World Closed Beta

I love the story and the idea of it. You were sent off to find a lost land where no one has come back from. Those who venture just disappear. No debris. corpse nothing. Just vanished. You set off on your adventure where you find out, first hand, what has happened the the crewmen before you and some how survive the grim fate that has befallen those before you.

There is a bit of character customization but it’s not as in-depth as a few other games. There aren’t any number dials like for noses and such but there are quite a few faces, hair styles and a glorious color wheel so you can customize as much as you want with those regards. I am a little sad you can’t change sizes of facial features ECT but I was able to make a super kawaii Viking with twin buns and a glorious beard. uwu =^.^=

I find the play style appealing and you can pretty much okay whatever you want to play. Magic classes seen to suck mana but I’m a tank class so that doesn’t do much to me. The fight style is very similar to other click fighters like Black Desert Online and Tera.

The talent tree is pretty linier. It’s more based off stats and the weapon you want. Example you need strength to use axe sword mace shield. You select different alternative attacks but you have to make sure you keep the weapon type or you just are kinda stuck. But this brings up the fact you can basically multi class. Example: You can alt-weild a staff with a sword level up your intelligence and strength and be a spell sword. You do need to swap weapons though too use the alternative attacks but you can do that. Weapon skills and usage are all based around your basic stats like Dex Strength Int ect.

You can pretty much do whatever you want in the have as well. Farming materials is a thing and you level up those skills like any other profession. Nodes are single use first come first serve so you can wait for the spawn or move on. Though I find this very annoying, there are so easy fixes around this. I understand mobs being one use only but Nodes and what not shouldn’t me. You are able to pretty much see what anyone is doing at any given time and it can create some…clutter in the overworld.

The idea of a campsite is nice as it allows you to rest, cook craft basic items and such but with how many people are playing and the fact you can see everything another player does, it can take away from the immersion when you see 100+ camp sites in one area. A perk with having so many in one area though is you always know where a town is and it looks like it’s ablaze. So that’s interesting but at the same time I don’t enjoy clutter in games…. But I suppose that could be a personal taste.

I haven’t seen any mounts yet but I’m not sure if they are going to include them. So far it hasn’t made the gave boring to just walk to the objective points.

There is also an economy system in the hand as well as factions. There if I remember correctly wars that you can fight with other affections to gain control of territories and depending on which faction owns a territory will affect auction house pricing and taxes how much experience you gain in an area etc.

There is a lot this game has going for itself and I am sad that it got pushed back. I was hoping this would be a release review but sadly we have to wait a bit more for that. I do suggest giving it a try though as it does have some things to get used to and what not that could make the game a terrible experience for you.

Darksiders Genesis

So, this game first came out on PC last year but I didn’t get a chance to play it and when it was launched on console I thought, why not. This was a game series I love and I was so excited to see it was going.

For those who don’t know, Darksiders is a hack and slash type series that’s been around for quite awhile. So far, you have gotten to play as 3 siblings in their attempt to free one of their own as you go on with the series. This game, however, is the start. This is about Strife. This will be the first game that you are able to play him as well.

The dual pistol weilding protagonist is a great addition to the Darksider’s Universe. I was quite excited about the change. I’ve grown found of War’s play style of running in and hacking up the bad guys and going on. Strife is more glass canon type. The best strategy is to keep your distance and pew pew.

This game, is from the first person prespective. I didn’t really even mind. I’m a big fan of Third person games like this and normally frown upon first person but truthfully I didn’t mind at all. I was able to control my character with ease and that was the most important part. It’s hard to get into a game where you can’t really see yourself and end up missing everything you’re trying to hit because you just can’t see. UGH!

Most of the time, to be honest. I don’t find too much replay values. Most games are just kinda meh. I buy them, I beat them and I check out end game before I quietly put the game down and move on. This game was different for me. I wanted to go back and see if there was anything I missed. The environments and the amazingly done levels kept me playing the game for quite awhile (mostly until the next game came out hahah)

Truthfully, this game wasn’t as finished as the other games that have come before it. It has it’s bugs and glitches and it’s other keybinds ect. This is almost pushed aside by the fantastic combat, the great puzzles that made you really thing about to solve. The massive levels make the explorer in my so happy and it drew me back to the places I’ve been just to ensure nothing was missed.

The play time is a little short, I think I put about 16 hours into it or something like that…but it was well worth it all. Though I’m a fan of the older styles, I still enjoyed myself enough to give my copy to a friend to play and so on.

Darksiders: Genesis is a great game and was super entertaining. I def think you should give it a try if you like puzzles, shooting and beating people over the head with a giant ass sword.

There are a lot of good things about this game I like and I really think you guys should check it out! It gets a solid 7/10 review!!

Sushi Striker: Way of Shushido DS

So this review is for the DS version of the game. I haven’t had a chance yet to play it on the Switch so I can’t really comment on it. I’m going to assume the story line is the same. But, let’s get this review started with this delicious review!!!

The story behind this game is a very unique one, a story that I could totally get behind! So, long story short, your parents went off to fight a war to make sushi available. While trying to find food, you come across a Sushi Striker of sorts who helps you enjoy the taste of the raw fish delicacy before introducing you to a Sushi Spite that helps make sushi! Suddenly you are ambushed by the Empire ( Dun dun dun) where you fight them off and learn the basics of what it means to be a sushi striker. Eventually you get your own sprite and you go off on your own to win back the right for Sushi for everyone!

It’s a healthy mix of Pokemon, Digimon and Candy Crush….something I never thought I would say in the same sentence. Like really. I honestly don’t like the game Candy Crush, but I fell in love with this game. You have to put several of the same color sushi plates together in order to empty your plate WHICH YOU THEN throw at your foe, dealing more damage the more plates you have. Each sprite has their own strengths that you can use and special skills to help you out, or really mess up your foe. I will admit, I found the healing one to be a little weak end game, but the same color attack made it easy to score a HUGE pile of plates to just chuck at my foe. Poor guy probably doesn’t even know what hit him. I mean a small child throwing plates?  Eh it happens.

It’s a quick pace puzzle type game that really strives on the excitement of the matching and throwing rather then the story. I’ll be honest, it a typical be the hero of the country and save the world from the evil government and let’s eat sushi!

This game, thought similar to games I don’t really like, honestly get’s a 9/10 from me.  I had a hard ass time putting it down when I got it and I still do now. If it wasn’t for WoW: BFA I would probably be sleeping with my 3DS for awhile before I finish the game!! I highly recommend it if you’re looking for fast, puzzles and just some cute animals!!!

First part of BFA Review

So hey guys! I am still alive sorry about that!  With the Release of Uldir yesterday, I feel like it’s a good time to review the first part of BFA. Plus, getting to explore all of the zone and most of the quest lines and the journey to 120…oh boy. I don’t even know where to start, so we’ll just kind of see where my fingers take me.

Let’s start with how I feel. I don’t feel like a hero. I feel like just a run of the mill adventurer. I mean yea….Azeroth chose us for the amulet and all of that shit but man…I understand the system is different. With the whole Global Cooldown system in place, I feel like It’s a RTS game now.  Not that I don’t like RTS, but when I need to heal and I just used a DPS attack, I have to wait several seconds to heal or even use a shield. It’s tough sometimes for me.  Now, some people may not mind the GCD system at all. But it’s frustrating, and I miss not having it.

So why don’t I feel like a hero? Shit hits hard, and you don’t hit hard enough. Now, I wasn’t expecting to be as strong as I  was at the end of Legion, but this is just silly. With the removal of spells and abilities from the loss of our amazing artifacts, it was a slight learning curve. But I got over it. It took awhile, and a lot of mourning over the loss of my bear lust. But nothing beats losing Symbiosis. šŸ™ That hit hard.  Anyways, going back to what I was saying. I just don’t feel that powerful anymore. It’s honestly a little discouraging.  Not that I don’t mind playing another spec, and being awesome. But what happened to wanting to have fun and enjoy the game? Bleh I dunno.

So, the story lines. So much gray…so much slaughtering of innocent people from the Horde. So Much damn destruction, and it doesn’t sate their needs…or seemingly.  I mean, they did burn down the World tree, and then when you help the Trolls escape you burn Stormwind. When will this stop? It was one thing to use it as a distraction, but this I don’t know. It might be because I’m a Alliance main but man, there are so many different paths they could have done to get their point across that wasn’t slaughtering innocent children and people. Like seriously.  Am I truly a hero?  I don’t feel like it.

So far, the areas are very inviting and unique. I go from slaying Cthuluhu priest to dealing with witches and then have fun hazing with drunk pirates on the alliance side. Horde you have Trolls, dead trolls, and sneks. Thought I’ve only done Zuldazar, I plan on doing the other ones to get a better idea of what’s going on. I can’t really go over my views on the Horde Quest lines yet, but I’ll add it once i get a chance to do so, so don’t worry.

I fully plan on experiencing this xpac through both sides, since each side has their own thing to offer to explain this expansion so I can’t wait to see what the other side has to offer me lore and quest wise.

So far, I’m enjoying the expansion for what it is. I have some problems with the gameplay and what’s going on.  I’ll do a review later towards the center of the expansion to kind of give some more thoughts on the new expansion.

So far, 7/10 seems right for the start of an expansion. There’s still more coming out, and still so much more to do so it’s hard to see the full spectrum of BFA so we’ll see later on!

My very late E3 Review

Notes for you guys: So literally, this was written out and scheduled. But due to an update, the schedule got reset and well, yeah this is why it’s late. Well, enjoy!

This is my time of year, I freaking love E3. So let’s get started. I’m going to organize this by days because my notes are a little messy and I was working all of E3 sooooo anywho!

Saturday

Microsoft had a pretty good presentation.Ā  They announced a lot of awaited titles like Halo Infinite, that’s another Halo Chief story OMG OMG OMG (I don’t have a Master Chief Problem).Ā  They also announced Gears of War 5 which follows Kate. It looked like JD went C.O.G so I’m interested to see the direction they’re headed in this game. Friends become enemies? Only time will tell (and the release hehe) Crackdown 3 has quite a bit of hype, thought I think it’s because I’m a Terry Fan girl. And I hold no shame in that.

Microsoft also announced Battletoads (Meme finally came to life) and Devil May Cry 5Ā  where you play at Vergil, always exciting to get a new story and see how they evolve characters we love! On top of other amazing titles like Just Cause 4, Forza and Cyber Punk, Microsoft announced so many damn Indie titles that I couldn’t keep track of them. I couldn’t think of anything negative about Microsoft’s E3. But EA….sigh…..that’s another story.

Now this threw me off, simply because I forgot…they went in depth with Kingdom Hearts 3. The new worlds, the new controls, the new keyblade. Everything. Just EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I am so excited for this game and I can’t wait until January 29th. It’s been 10 plus years, and I am ready and prepared for this game to be in my life. I really like that they’re changing the combat style a little and letting you change styled live instead of going through your menu and selecting it. It’s just ahhhhh So hard to not be excited! I mean my first tattoo was a Kingdom Hearts one.

So let’s start with the good. New Star Wars game is always fun! As a fan of the sagas and books etc I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen. I just hope there’s no Micros but that’s futile with it being an EA game.Ā  Another fun game is Sea of Solitude. Oh my god! I want this game in my life. The graphics, the idea holy titties this is a 10/10 for me!!! I’m also excited to see Unravel 2. I loved the first one and I’m anxious to see how multiplayer works for this šŸ˜€ WHOOT

Now it’s time for the bad and Ugly. They talked about Battlefield V and they went the BR route. *facedesk* of course they did. They are also saying there’s way more player destruction in this game as well as two things I’m finding hard to believe. One being Free DLC and the second No loot Boxes. Coming from EA, you can see why I’m skeptical. Now, with the loot boxes things they’re literally renaming them to Air Drops. I’m sorry but if you rename shit, it’s still shit. Ya know? I just ugh…..

Sunday

So this was fun to me.They didn’t go into a lot detail with most of their stuff so I can really only be excited for name sake. Doom Eternal was announced, which excited me. I like Doom and have for quite awhile…They also talked about Wolfenstein: Young Blood where you play as BJ’s twin daughters. Prey’s new DLC got announced going into details with it mostly the fact it has almost endless possibilities. How awesome was that? I mean really. They also delved a little in Rage 2, which is exciting. A few years after the other one with a new lead guy who actually talks. HE TALKS GUYS! How neat!Ā  You also can’t forget Starfield, a fancy new game they announced everything only to be shit on by the 34 second Elder Scrolls VI trailer that did nothing.

So, as you noticed, I didn’t mention Fallout 76 above. Before I start this, I want to tell you all the truth. I don’t know how to feel about this game. I always felt Fallout should have Multiplayer functions. I just feel like this is a great thing in a game like this. So, going back…they announced some big things about it. Always online, you play on servers of 12 people. There are nukes you can get and use them to change the are or destroy your enemies. Apparently, it’s easy to rebuild after they drop a nuke? I…I really don’t know how? I mean logic says you can’t do that easily haha but that’s just me.

I like Bethesda’s conference. But I’ve always been a Bethesda Fangirl, and that wont ever change. So I may be bias towards them. Just saying.

Monday

I’m disappointed with Square, but to be fair…their one game they’re releasing soon was taken over by Microsoft so they didn’t have anything to do. They did go a little into KH3 but just a trailer we’ve seen so many times, then they talked a little about Babylon’s Fall and The Quiet man.Ā  I can’t say I was too excited for anything beside Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I mean Holy shit this is exciting! I always loved the Tomb Raider games with a passion. I just like being Indiana Jones but with more gore and boobs. Makes it fun for me.

Ubisoft went over some big titles that are GOTY worthy, New Just Cause, Rainbow Six content, Beyond Good and Evil. Ubi also went into more detail with hew New Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.Ā  They talked a little more about how you’re this Spartan and like the combat is more brawler then sneaky and it’s like “awe… come on…”

They also announced The Division. You know that infection breaks out and stuff happens and you kill things? Oh my bad, The Division 2. Oops. Ctrl+CĀ  Ā  Ctrl+V….

The biggest thing I was excited about was Rapture Rejects.Ā  Now, I’m not a big fan or BR games. I”m sorry they’re all the same to me. But this…this is different to me. The idea of all of this being after the Rapture and killing people just excites me. I’m not sure why but I need this in my life! Haha

Tuesday

Last day of E3 . Nintendo by far was the best. They talked about the New Pokemon Game: Lets go Eevee/Pikachu. I can’t wait for this. Going back to some of the older regions that I grew up with.Ā  I like that they brough back the Pokemon following you system in the game with hints of some of the aspects of some of the newer games like petting Pokemon ect. They added some Pokemon Go things to it as well, like throwing your Pokeball and the whole taking your Pokemon with you. That’s always exciting.

Nintendo also talked about Super Smach Bros Ultimate. Adding all of the characters from all the other games, adding the Inklings and Ridley. RIDLEY!! AHHH That is so exciting! I can’t wait to play as him! It’s dumb I know but I still can’t wait for this in my life.

Oh, Fortnite coming to switch.Ā  Eh

So all in all, E3 kind of disappointed me. I don’t know how I feel to be honest. There were a few games I was excited about. But most of it was like stuff that was announced before with no real new information.Ā  But that’s what you get I suppose. I worked a lot of E3, but I don’t feel like I missed anything really. But that’s alright. With more info dropping daily about most of the games, I don’t feel bad for not watching it. But let’s face it. There are a lot of claims of Free DLC, no Season Passes, No Lootboxes, but a lot of the games have already back tracked. So I’m not sure what to believe anymore. But we’ll see when they come out who changed their mind and what happens.

If you’re interested, we did a E3 podcast so check it out for more indepth how we all fee about it. Love you all!

Pokemon/Ultra Sun/Moon

Another late game but here we go!!

So, this is going to be a two in one review. Let’s begin with the first game in this series, Pokemon Moon/Sun. Now this adventure takes us to the Alola region where there’s new Pokemon and variantsĀ  of Kanto (some are cool others..make me go WTF).

There are many new ways to enjoy this game, with multiple mini games to kill time as well as. There’s also the option to be a berry farmer where you and your Pokemon can raise berries to turn into the Pokemon treats and even have a chance to catch wild Pokemon who really enjoy your island so much in fact they want you to catch them.

So let’s get into some details about parts of this game I liked. I really liked the Poke Pelago, there’s a lot you can do with it from growing berries to collecting Pokebeans and random items. It’s a great addition and it’s a great way to kill time and feel like you’re doing everything you can to help your team be the best it can be. I really feel like the trainer I can be šŸ™‚

The hands on giving your Pokemon attention after a hard battle is also great. This is how I’ve always thought real trainers should act.Ā  I always felt that the more compassion you gave your Pokemon, the more they’d be willing to help you out where it counted, and I stand firm on that.

I am also a big fan of the customization you have with your trainer, and it also helps in making me feel like I’m the one in the game.Ā  The different colors and styles you can pick from really make it easy to make me a trainer. It’s great!

The idea of Ultra Beasts are pretty neat, but to be honest I really miss just having the regular Pokemon, then have the legendary and maybe a few super rare Pokemon. I think they could tone it down a little big because I feel like 700+ Pokemon is like whoa. Too much. I still remember the original pokerap. So let’s go!

Now, let’s get to the negatives I have. I miss the gyms. I miss training my Pokemon and REALLY feeling like I’m winning. I mean, I get what they’re going for but I just don’t feel like I’m making a big impact as I did when I’d fight gyms leaders and win. I kind of miss that feeling.

The tutorial is also awful for veteran players. Who wants their hand held for hours before being “set free” only to get caught by another hour or so of cut scenes with little to no action. I just I don’t know. I’m not sure I’m a fan of what direction this series is going. I’m a Pokemon fan, and I’m always going to be one. This was the first real game series I was into when I was a child and maybe this is my own fault. But I’m old school.

The story line is well I’m not sure….one person goes completely crazy and tries to take control of Pokemon for their own schemes and then you foil their plans and be the hero. Copy and paste almost every other Pokemon game.Ā  But I personally had more questions then I did answers. Like what really ARE the ultra beasts and why are they so damn special? Eh…..

So now about Ultra Sun and Moon? Please re-read the review and let’s add 20% different story adding new bad guys and new mysteries and the ability to collect stickers to get big Pokemon. That’s it. Worth it? Eh….Debatable.Ā  They only REALLY added a new organization that’s supposed to explain what’s going on from another perspective.

So I mean, I’ve played and beat this game, and I do enjoy it. I’m anxious to see what’s going to happen and how far this series goes what are they adding to it.

I give this game 7/10 Pokebeans!

I really like Pokemon, but I feel like they dumbed down these games. Now I wish they had options to skip tutorials or stop holding hands so much. But, that’s just me. I just miss the challenge from the older games. And that seems to be gone to me. I don’t really have motivation to keep playing after I defeat everyone.

Want to play? Check out the Nintendo game store, or any game retailer šŸ™‚

South Park: Fractured but Whole

It feels like I’ve been waiting three years for this amazing sequel to join my life and give me hope great offensive games are still out there. I mean, not that I got old of running around as the King and farting on everyone and being a master of everything. But I’ve been waiting for this game for quite a long time and I’m happy to have it.

I don’t really want to get into too much plot details because I don’t want to spoil this masterpiece for you guys, but I do have to talk about some bits. But I do have to talk about some bits, do bear with me.

Cats have gone missing in the town with ample parking day or night and it’s up to Coon and Friends to find the missing cats and defeat Chaos in the process, but you aren’t invited to play.  šŸ™ But what is the King to do? Crash the super hero party, duh.

You start off getting your super powers, at the time there are three to choose from. I went the Blaster Route which seemed to hit quite well but you also have Speedster and Brutalist. Each class has it’s own perks like the Speedster can get two moves while the Brutalist can bash your face in. Each class from then on just adds to the excitement that is the combat system.

As you progress through the story you unlock more and more classes which give you quite a bit of customization when it comes to Who are you Douchebag? Who are you really? The classes range from close combat to Ranged with heals. I’m a tank/Ranged DPS Personally so I went with the ranged healing classes I could find. I rather enjoy kicking butt at a safe distance and then healing any damage I, or my group takes.

Did I say excitement? I really do mean that. Sometimes though, I will admit, it got very repetitive and when more enemies jump into the fight I did get frustrated but all in all I rather enjoy this combat system. Each character and NPC brings chaos lava and macaroni Star of Davids to the fight to aid them in the fierce battles a head.  To go into the combat more….let’s start with the battlefield. It’s a grid based system much like you would see when you are playing a table top game. Each player has a set amount of moves and their attacks have a certain range. For those “casting” attacks, the areas are marked on the field so you can easily avoid them or cause some friendly fire šŸ˜‰ Healing in this game is also a lot more fun and almost every class has some sort of heal or can use all the items to heal you or a friend. The best part is YOU control your team!

The NPC’s in the battle also act like they are being controlled by a human, scrolling through all their attacks and find the perfect one to destroy you with….or at least try. Bravo guys! This was most def a very imersive system!

The last thing I want to comment on combat wise were the ultimate.  During combat, you have the option after every enemy hitting you, you hit a button and gather power for an ultimate that any of your party can use. One can be used for a major DPS attack, a giant heal or a cute Guinea pig in  Pirates hate. You decide!!! This made me pay attention a little more in combat phases, though sometimes I would drift off.

So let’s get back to the story. Like the last game, there are a bunch of side quests you can take to help  get you into the game more as well as enhance it. I rather enjoyed all of the little things like finding the drug lords and collecting all the Yaoi (I just wish there was a gallery for the pictures, some of them were too cute.

The mini game were a lot of fun as well, mastering the toilets and doing some fancy Fartkour really made this a SP game if you ask me. The crude humor is here to stay and it’s nice to see that all of my neighbors are their usual selves and nothing ‘s changed in the 3 days (years?) since the installment. I really enjoy this game, though I’m not sure if there’s replay value. I’d love to toy around with all the classes and everything but we’ll have to see.

My only real complaint about this game is the fact that there is a season pass. I get it, this is the direction that video game companies are headed and frankly, I find it distasteful. Now you’re probably saying to yourself…SELF, I know she plays WoW. They release stuff for that you have to pay a lot of money for. And you’re right, reader I do. But when in my honest opinion. If it’s a MMO, I’m fine with paying to expansions ect. But if the game has 0 online interaction, why would I need to buy a season pass? There’s no point? I don’t know, but this grinds me gears.

Give me back the days where when you buy a game it was the full game not the “Full” game plus season passes and micro-transactions out the asshole..

But enough standing on my soap box, I’ll save that for my blog.

My poor Fractured butthole enjoyed the time I played, and I recommend this to anyone looking for a fun way to kill some time while you’re waiting for Assassin’s Creed or CoD WW2. This and Shadow of War are good fillers for the next round of games.

Dispite my issue with the season pass, this game get’s a 9/20 Yaoi. I really enjoyed this game but I ended up making an active effort to avoid combat due to the fact it got boring when you did it very often. I loved the story, the characters and just the over all view of this game.

The Nintendo Switch

So hi. It’s been awhile. In case you forgot, I am Lily. The amazing UnicornMuffin. Your awesome guide to the Gaming world and avid chinchilla lover.  So, first, I’ve been working a lot more and I am super sorry about it.  So, long story short someone quit which opened up more hours, and the original plan was to write reviews at work….but then ya know of course the works wifi will block it haha….Haha….ha….Well, look forward to this months blog that’s in the works right now too so let’s get this started!!!!

With all the hype around the Wii U a few years back, and the amount of pure disappointment I felt when I finally got the console,  I was actually a little skeptical about this system. I didn’t want to drop the money on a system I’d regret. But I will say, so far this is a pretty neat system.

The initial launch was a little rough for me. The only game I was interested was Zelda, like a lot of people heh. The down side of this was, I didn’t want to get burned out on the game while I waited for the all mighty Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to be released.  So I took the game real slow.  I couldn’t bear the thought of myself getting BORED with a game and be forced to watch this beautiful system collect chinchilla dust as I wait for new games to be released.

The concept of this system is actually pretty freaking neat. I like that I can play full HD games on the go. Sure, there’s the DS, Vita PSP ect ect, but you can’t just tear apart your system and be like ‘Here we go here’s part of my system let’s play”  I, for one, really enjoy the idea of dismantling my controller so I can play with a friend. I mean what’s better than enjoying a game with your bestie? Nothing. This brings me back to my couch CoOp days, ya know?

So why pick a switch over another console? Obiviously the exclusives.  Yeah, you can play Breath of the Wild and a few other games on the Wii U, but at the same time if something comes up and you can’t be home, then you really wont be able to play them. The idea of a full scale console with the option to become a mobile device is inticing.

Would I recomend the switch? So far, maybe. If you are totally into the games that are already out, then this is the perfect match for you! The greatness that ou have been waiting for is avaiable when you are ready and they’re in stock!

If you want a system that has more games, roll with a 3DS or something like that. That way you have a wider selection of games, and you can take it where you go. šŸ™‚

It’s all about you!

All in all, I really enjoy this console. I love my switch and the games I have for it. I like that I can pick up a game when I’m on break or just super bored in the bathroom.

All in all, I say this is a great system, but it might not be for everyone….right NOW. With only a few titles out for it. It’s going to be hard to say “this is a must buy for everyone”  I do suggest, if you know someone who has one, ask to see it and play with it a little and gage whether it’s the system for you!

I give this fancy system 7/10 Joy-Cons.

I wish there were way more games out for it then what there currently is. I really enjoy the system but I kind of feel myself going back to my 3ds due to the lack of entertainment. I can only play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe so much until I get mad at Tanooki Mario. (That cheating asshole)

World of Warcraft: Legion

The next, in my opinion, EPIC AWESOME STELLAR expansion came out for World of Warcraft! Now, I wasnā€™t a big fan of the past two expansions and frankly, I was about to just full on stop playing because I mean, come on. Alternant time time? Whatā€™s up with that bull crap!!!! And going back on the whole ā€œWeā€™ll never make Pandaā€™s a playable race.ā€ PFFFFFFTTTTT!!!!!!!!!

Now, this may be my inner fan girl screaming, but when I saw that Illidan was going to be a part of this expansion I instantly felt the hype. I mean full on 1000000000% was into this expansion. But then, I had to start thinking like an adult. Was this game going to be worth it? Was it another Alternate timeline? What was going to be in this game? There were a lot of questions, that didnā€™t have a lot of answered when this game was revealed.

So, letā€™s get into the story line a little bit. Gulā€™Dan decides he isnā€™t awesome enough and tries to go after Illidan (Squee) and ends up dying or something of that nature. While, the Emerald Dream gets corrupted with the NIghtmare (thatā€™s some Kingdom Hearts shit right there) and of course. Heroes! We need you to save the world and things!!!!

Iā€™m all for this expansion, for quite a few reasons, and have been suggesting this to veterans and new commers a like. The game is great in the fact itā€™s a new area, a new op class as well as new raids. If youā€™re all for the MMO aspect of the game, you may be pleased with the return of players, both new and old and young and gnomes. Bleh, gnomesā€¦.

Anywhoooā€¦.there are so many new things in this game, that itā€™s a little hard to actually talk into detail about every single thing, but Iā€™m going to start with the fanciest of the things.

Artifact weapons. Now, I know what youā€™re saying. Look, LIly. I get it. Itā€™s the all mighty weapon that Iā€™ll use for a few levels then Iā€™ll get rid of it for this epic lootz that drops from this boss.

Nope. The artifact weapon is literally only as good as the time you put into it. You get Artifact power and runes that empower them and give you special perks. The best part about these weapons is that they each have a neat little background story that helps tie them into lore. Though some of them are fatfetched. A lore master like myself, can appreciate them a little bit and I was excited to learn about the new pieces.

Demon hunters are now a thing. You fought one back in Burning Crusade. But now, you ar eable to play them and be a tank or DPS. Now, I know what a lot of people thought, itā€™s another DK scandal. To be honest. Yes. There are a lot of people who are playing Demon hunter. Yes, they are a little OP and can do a lot of shit solo. But, at the very same time. For the moment being, itā€™s pretty neat being an acrolyte for Illidan and helping stop the legion from pouring into the world untilā€¦..*the next is spoiilers so I wont talk about them* (edit, since legion has been out for awhile I will add that you get captured by the wardens only to be released to help save the world and you get to prove your worth to the world)

Class halls/Order Halls

So this is a literal copy and paste from the Garrison in WoD. After they promised us it wouldnā€™t be. I do feel a little lied to with this. I mean come on. I donā€™t want to do this shit! The only way to make your weapon epic…Class hall shit. Only way to get certain quests you need: Class hall shit. Come on Blizz. Is this really something you wanted? Like really.

To not fly in this game…is terrible. The landscape is so beautiful! I canā€™t believe I literally cannot enjoy it by flying! I mean this is my major complaint every single expansion, but itā€™s so easy to hit a hot key, turn into a bird and fly away to get the next quest ect ect. But I guess as long as they add it soon I can be ok with this. Plus, Flap is a thing. Google that. Balance Druid: Flap.

New lands, new NPC, new raids.

This is going to be a neat thing to talk about because I am actually happy to see some of the old lore play out. My favorite thing is that they have Odyn and Helya and Fenrir and all of that awesome stuff into this area. They play real heavy with the lore that is in the main lands and such and itā€™s nice!

No more Yrel! Thank GOD on this one, I mean like seriously. I couldn’t be happier. I skipped and jumped when I left my garrison only to return for my pet balttle things because of my collection addiction šŸ˜‰

But really. I am OK with this expansion. A little sad I havenā€™t seen Illidan yet, but thatā€™s OK. Iā€™m sure heā€™ll appear…for now itā€™s OK.

My heart, does go out to the Anduin. Iā€™ve never really wanted to actually hug any NPC before. Like really mean it. But him. I really needed to. *I wont go into details since this game just came out* (Edit: yeah well…It still hurts to talk about it :?)

All in all, this is one of my favorite expansions besides The Burning Crusade. Iā€™m happy with it and canā€™t wait to see what direction Blizzard takes it!

Legion getā€™s a solid 9/10 Demon Souls
