Sid Meier’s Civilization VI

So many games have come out, and here I am having to re write three because the website lose them T.T So I am so sorry for this late review! Forgive me guys please!!!

There’s quite a few on my list now from GoW4 to Legion and a few others! I can’t wait to get this started so I won’t wait anymore!!!!

This review is for Civ 6, which I must say is a great addition to the Sid Meier collection. Now I must say, I’m a great lover of the RTS and have been a HUGE fan of Civ for quite a long time and the hype I had for this one was just through the roof, and personally I wasn’t disappointed!!!

So with that, let’s get this review started!!!!

It is with a heavy heart, I have to admit that they changed up some of the countries a little bit, and swapped out some leaders. I miss Catherine for Mother Russia but, to be fair, Peter isn’t too bad and I think I can be OK with this. There are a few countries, though now with different people, stay the same. The major one I would like to note, is India. I think we all know the horror stories of India, But, for those who don’t…I hope you’re sitting for this.

Gandhi is still a dick.

The game has a different feel to me. Though it’s nice to be on my own and not have to worry about the science of my comrades, I still miss them. The fact that we can only be friends and not allies for awhile is just something that’s new to me.  But I do want to say that it felt nice to be independent and only rely on myself to advance my country, until Gandhi comes around then well, it’s nice to have friends.

So, besides all of this glorious country raising, there are a few other things to keep in mind. All country AI’s have a secret agenda. This can make or break your friendship with them and may even spark a war. One country may not like your hairstyle while the other one things. This adds a sense of wonder into the game until Damn it Gandhi! Stop it! Just stop.

With the secret agenda, you can literally meet them or complete miss them. But they hold whether the country is in awe with you, or if they despise the living crap out of you and declare war on you and try to kill you off and all of that fun AI stuff. But a word of advice…

Don’t open borders with a country. It may seem like a great idea to let your friend pass through your country in hopes of slaughtering your foes. Just don’t. They can use the generic and walk around your boarder. They always end up in a sweet beautiful betrayal. But really, folks. The AI in this game seem to be more self aware, it’s almost like Skynet. It’s creepy. They beg, they plead, the can even grovel when you start to whoop their butt. Hue hue.

All in all this game was so much fun, I enjoyed being alone while playing with my friends where i always had the option to betray them and take over their country, as well as reluctantly giving them open borders to they can help you in the war. I mean, I trust them….. A little or something.

Civ 6 is one of my favorite games of 2016 and I can’t wait until the next one but until then, I will play this one with my friends and take out any AI I possibly can and I couldn’t be happier!!!

I totally give this game a 8/10 barbarians! This is such a great game! The AI are a lot more nicer to agree with (Except Gandhi of course)

Edit: So I want you all to know, that I’ve had this written and posted for quite awhile now and my website decided it didn’t want to post it. So I apologize for the delay and there are many MANY more reviews to come after this one so, again. I apologize and I love you all!!!

The Forest

I don’t know about you. But the words Cannibal and Forest intrigue me. Now this may be because I am a huge fan of The Hills Have Eyes. Or any sort of horror film that involves anything like this….I think? I think it’s more, this is an idea I can get behind and support. So, with that being said. Let’s get started!

You start off in a neat little crash scene where some big guy steals your kid. Most parents would try to save them, you just kinda pass out. Some father….Anywho, once you wake up your “to do” list says that you need to build shelter, find food and water ect ect. Basic survival things. But then it says to find passengers, and Timmy. What have they done for you? I dunno but eh.

Build build build a fort, and eat all the legs!

Building is time consuming, but it’s so much fun because ti adds to the difficulty in my opionon. The more you clear cut the forest, the more upset the cannibals get and they more they want to getcha! The trick is to build a Log sled. I know it seems like such a silly thing but they can carry like 9 logs! And when a simple log cabin requires like 13? You do the math. 😉

Once you get your base set up, next would be to focus on food and water. Hopefully you’re not far from a lake or a turtle (Sorry PETA) or legs and arms will be on the menu for you. If you don’t mind losing your sanity, then this is a gret rout to go. Not only will you have a steady food supply you can also get bones from the limbs you chow down on and you can use them to build things. I’m currently working on build a bone fence around my Cannibal Witch house. But that is just me 🙂

Now, let’s get down to these Cannibals. These are what make the game on edge and exciting. There are about 5 different types of cannibals each more deadly than the last. You have the skinny ones, that are some what harmless. They don’t do a lot of damage solo, but in a big group, watch out. Virgina and Cowman though, are dangerous no matter how you look ta it.  The trick is to Dodge. Oh….wait THEY dodge. Silly Lily!!

But let’s get down to business right now. You can’t defeat all the cannibals and mutants with your silly little axe you get from the dead flight attendant.  You have the Bow and arrows, stone axes, and you can steal the maces off some of the cannibals. It’s really up to you. Do you survive or conform?! I tried to conform but then my friends started to give me sacrifices of human flesh so I could spare them and then it just got funky!

Any who…it’s always better to just survive and explore when you feel it’s right! I mean you can’t just stay in your safe little fort with endless food, when there’s a WHOLE island to explore! WHAT?! A entire Island inhabited with cannibals and mutants and Cannibal Witches (Me. I’m referring to me).

The true end goal, is to find the passengers and your son. Or, you know you can just kinda do whatever you want. Survive, Thrive, Die. Whatever floats your boat! DO IT! JUST DO IT!

Long story short, this is a great survival horror game, and I like it. It’s fun to play with friends, but at the same time it’s fun alone! I give this game a 8/10. Thought it is sill in Alpha, it’s still so much fun! I cannot wait to see the final prodcut and I will be keeping this under watch 😉

Tom Clancy’s The Division

Another installment in the Tom Clancy series was released a few weeks ago. So, why is this review coming out so late? I had a lot of games on my list to play, so this review got pushed back a little. I apologize. Def. not something I’m happy about but it was something that happened. Before I start this review, I want to warn you there may be spoilers. So be warned!!!!!!

I know what a lot of you are probably thinking. But Uni, we haven’t seen you stream this game at all!! I know. I want to add that I am not sorry about it neither. Why? Because all you’d hear is me cussing and fuming haha. But that doesn’t mean I don’t stream other games.

So what is the Division? For those who haven’t seen or heard anything about it…the Division is a story about a virus mutation that took over NY and Brooklyn. You were a sleeper agent that was woke up to help the situation.

Who are you Agent?

The first thing I was to start with is the Character Creation, or lack thereof. I get it. I really do. I mean you don’t SEE the face of your agent all the time, but there are more CLOTHES in the game then Hair styles. The hell is up with that? I’m not asking for full customization but I want more.  LIke, I was aiming for a Panda Agent. And the face paint isn’t as dark as I want it.

But enough about looks. You can customize your guns as well. I rather enjoy having a bright pink, bright turquoise and bright purple gun. I feel empowered.

Taking small arms fire! SMALL ARMS FIRE!!!

Guns. They’re things you fill with bullets and shoot enemies, or if you like it, other players. There’s a lot you can actually do with the firearms in this game. From Mods, skins and shooting. I feel like it’s realistic for the most part. The reverb is there as well as shock.

The mods you get and help improve your aim, damage, stability among other things. I enjoy my Vector right now, now if I could replace my second gun that would be grand. Pistols are pretty much useless in my opinion. They don’t do a lot of damage so there’s no point in having them, besides they’re required for whatever reason. I would love to carry around another machine gun instead of a pistol, but whatever. Who needs three Useful guns? Not Agent Panda.

Many Agents go into the Dark Zone….not many come out.

There is a place called the Dark Zone, or as I call it, the place for people to be a piece of shit. The idea of PvP in this game is very welcomed. I like the fact that I have the OPTION to kill another player and steal their loot. But there’s a difference between wanting their loot and being a troll.

For the time being. The Dark Zone is end game. So there’s not a lot to do besides the daily missions. The dailies are repeats of quests you did during the story line but at a harder difficulty. This to me is very welcomed. I like being challenged. I like fighting harder NPC and the change at Phat Loots. I mean who doesn’t enjoy loot? No one. That’s who!

Now, let’s get back to the Dark Zone. The DZ is in the middle of NY, it’s the center of attention at end game. The NPC are a lot harder and require more skills. Skills? Why skills? If you accidently hit another player while fighting NPC, well guess what. You’re Rogue.

Now, a Rogue agent are those that go against what they were trained and kill other Agents. From what I gathered, sometimes Rogues are cool, other times they’re real jerks. I’ve come to the point where it’s best not to pick up loot until you can extract them immediately.

All in all, it’s a Tom Clancy game. I liked the story, I liked the game play. My only actual complaint about the game is the Dark Zone. As it sits right now, there’s no punishment for the players who cheat and use cheats to go rogue. That takes the thrill out of the Dark Zone. I liked running around in a “trust no one” mind set. Now I’m scared of my own shadow because I finally get this upgrade and BAM! It’s all gone.

This game is going to get a 6/10. I enjoyed the game, but the Dark Zone kind of killed the score of this game. People cheating the system for gain, is wrong. I will revisit The Division when the xpacks come out, if i get them, It’s a little iffy now. But who knows. There’s always tomorrow.  Or is there?

Creativerse

Creativerse

Creativerse is just one of those games that you use to kill time. A Minecraft Remake, it adds new lands, creatures and adventure to your gaming history.

I rather enjoyed the game, but I finished the story line in less than a day and it left me yearning way more.  It is an early access title, so I will be keeping my eye on it 🙂

You start out at a spawn point with nothing in your inventory except a note…In my opinion, a super creepy note written by someone I don’t know that told me to run away from home and hopefully I’d survive in the wilderness.

Yes, you read that right. You’re a runaway. A runaway. I mean you’re literally a little kid alone in the woods hoping to survive the night. How? Why? No idea. It’s literally one of those things where you’re scared to question it, but at the very same time…WHAT’S WITH THE NOTE MAN COMMON! What’s in the note?!?!?!

The beauty of  the game.

The beauty lies with the blocks in this game. Everything is unique and different and not pixelates. It reminds me of Trove, but with more details. From the Bark on the tree to the spots on the giant crabs. This game is a great remake of classics and I think does some sort of Honor to the genre, for those who just do vanilla graphics and doesn’t touch mods. (JS!!).

The total amount of detail spend on this game is pretty nice. I can tell what dirt is, dying grass, logs animals. I’m not sitting here like “Hm this looks like water, nope it’s a hole annnnnnnd I’m dead. Crap.”

Taming, mining and farming. Oh my!

There’s a lot more to this game then surviving your first night. You can Thrive! If you follow me on Instagram (link in my contact section) You’ve probably noticed me posting picture of things I’ve tamed. Taming is HUGE in this game if you can’t find the right materials in a timely manner. If you know me, then  you know I’m all about taming and farming and being one with Nature. Heh.

Taming creatures is beneficial only if you’re looking at drops. Right now, they don’t fight with you. But all creatures are tameable. If you have the health, patience and the time 🙂

Farming is a bit fun. You gather Turnips, melons cabbage and wheat, grind them into seeds and Vu la! Food. Food that can be made into sandwiches, soups, weapons, bombs. Or you can just feed animals that like the veggie. That works too. When you feed your tamed companion, you can later harvest them and get what they would normally drop plus a few extra things. Who knew a sammich would be useful!

Oh where to start with mining….Mining.  It’s just like it sounds. YOu start off mining wood and dirt. Ooo. Exciting. You have to mining a mining tool, that attaches to your wrist and sucks up stones and other things. I will admit, this is pretty neat. No more running around picking up blocks for me! Nope! This is when my only real issue with the games comes in. To advance, you have to FIND materials to make the more advanced tools. And I had a hard time finding the elements i needed to go on. I still trudged on tho and got to the third mining level, but then that was it. I was heartbroken.

It may have just been luck, but that’s what made me change to my farmer-self that I know and love.

To play or not to play?

Though this game is in early release, there are bugs and a short story. I’m sure as they start adding to the game, it won’t be a let down. The game has the exact same aspects as Minecraft. There’s the surface layer, then you mine down and you get to an end layer called, Corruption. There are tougher creatures there to fight and phat loots.

Personally, I found it harder to gather materials, and was happy that i had a team with me. Like with some games, I ended up being the supplier of foods and good, in exchange for weapons, armor and mining tools.  Which I’m OK with. It was still super fun, I got to follow people to the Corruption and just plain enjoy the game 🙂

I give this game a 7/10. I do suggest to you guys, to give the game a try. If you don’t like it, you’ll only be out on time 🙂 It’s free to play! So common! Give it a gooooo!!!!!!

ARK: Survival Evolved

Hey everyone! Lily here, finally! Sorry about the stupid long absence. A lot has happened since my last review…The big thing was I did lose my job, so we’ve had to concentrate our time with other things, but it seems like stuff may be calming down now. I have the time to sit down and write a review for you guys!

With that being said. I was to let you guys know I am in the process of opening a tiny little online store to sell some nerdy things. From Earrings to Phone Charms! Whoot! I’m also looking into expanding my reviews to a few other areas, but that’s for another post!

So let’s get this bad boy out!

Ark is one of those neat little games that you either love or hate. It’s still in a beta stage, so there are some buggies and glitches but for the most part it’s easy to see where the game is going. But this review isn’t going to go on and on about those, because in my eyes, this game has SO much more to offer it’s players!!!

The Game Play

Imagine a world where you build homes, famr your materials and ultimately tame the biggest most bad ass dinosaur around. . I know what you’re thinking. “LIly, come on now this is Minecraft on steroids in prehistoric times” Pft…way to be a kill joy…

Though this game has characteristics of Minecraft, it is it’s own game with the respect…THERE ARE NO DINOSAURS IN MINECRAFT! (Disclaimer: Mods don’t count!) Now, this game isn’t all about dinosaurs now. There is so much to do, and even more to explore! But be careful. It is a dangerous world out there. One that can and will kill you without a second thought.

Curiosity can be a deadly thing in this game. Death isn’t something to take lightly in this game, and I’ll touch base on that a little alter. When it comes to ARKS, oh boy name of the game, you will want to check them out. With good intentions too. They have better gear, plans and other objects you’ll need to progress further into the game. One huge problem we came across is a lot of the ARKs in the spawning area, were wayyyy too high level, and eventually went to waste. It was so sad

Death in this game, is a serious deal. It’s very easy to lose yourself in the game and find a hungry velociraptor that wants to make you it’s next meal.  When you die, you lose everything. Clothes, gear, weapons, food. Everything. You do though, have a set amount of time to retrieve your items. Failure to do so, and you can kiss your work good bye.  🙁

But Lily, why is this such a HUGE deal? I’ll tell you guys why. It takes a lot of time and work to collect items, and a lot of concentration to realize, hey these berries are going bad in 30 seconds what do? Or you spend HOURS collecting enough materials to finish your little tiny hut to protect yourself against dinosaurs and the cold.  But one wrong move. Blip. Everything you gathered, crafted made. Gone.

No matter where you put food, it will always spoil. At least, that’s what we had an issue with. It made it hard to survive starting out, and tame some bad ass dinosaurs to run with us. ( I will always remember you Fluffy! You fought well beside me!)

Let’s get into taming dinosaurs really quick before. Depending on the type of Dinosaur, you either have to use precious meat, or common berries. I use the term precious because a dinosaur can be level 2, and kick your ass back to the pre-metazoa age. BA BAM, Science. Ok back on topic…meat and berries can and will spoil even if you feed them to the dinosaur. The time it takes to tame? Depends on the level from what we found. A level 3 dinosaur, once you knock it out, took us up to 20 minutes (this is real life time!!) to tame. I had time to collect some items, kick the dinosaur a few times, and finish building my house before I had a nice Triceratops following me around wanting to murder anything that touched me.

I lost that Triceratops….I got ambushed by two velociraptors. They killed me first, then killed him. Oh…I was so sad…..

How’s the game feel?

The graphics for the most part are fantastic and beautiful. You could see the dinosaur eyelids, the veins in the grass. Oh this game was so pretty.  I posted a few pictures on my Instagram of Fluffy. You can see every scale, claw and tooth on that bad boy. There were a few things that clipped and kind of floated….Floating grass seemed to be a big thing in this little grove we found.

I found myself, lost a lot and totally focusing on the game. I knew it was a game but at the same time, I just wanted to see everything I could in there. I will say though, this is one of the better visually appealing games I’ve played in awhile.

Now, when I said that I found myself lost in this game, it wasn’t the graphics alone. The sound effects in the game also drew me in. From the bird chirps to the sound of my impending doom (raptor calls), I just felt like I was in the forest. I was on the beach. I was getting eaten alive. I think you get the picture. Though a lot of the sound repeated, it was easy to identify the dinosaurs, and made calling out to my friends easy.

“Hey, Trombones, Raptor ahead, let’s go this way” or “Oh hey! Tire, I hear a turtle! Let’s kill it for food!”  #justdinothings

What do you think of the game?

Well, with everything being said. I like the game. The idea of losing progress is something that would technically happen in the real world. The idea of taming dinosaurs to have them hunt with you and eventually irde is one of the best things about this game. I’m not a biig fan of the time it takes to collect items to make shelter, fires and other things needed to basically stay alive, and the amount of stuff it takes to maintain them…you can kiss exploration goodbye sometimes. All in all, I liked the game, and can’t wait to play again. My ultimate goal, is to be a Raptor Queen and kill everyone in my clan, I mean path. I mean….oh who am I kidding. No one would mess with raptors.

I give this game 6/10. I liked the game, but losing hours of progress all because a level 2 dinosaur snuck up on you when you’re level 20 isn’t fun. I was literally scared to leave the Brotto (I didn’t name it)  It’s easy to lose, but at the same time when you get what you need it’s  easy to be ahead.

Fallout Shelter

Hey everyone! Hope you have all been well! I’ve been stuck in a Shelter waiting for the perfect time to get out and I thought now would be a good time to tell you about what I have been up to! Well, by being stuck in a Shelter, I mean I’ve been having some major back problems which have been preventing me from doing pretty much anything I wanted to do. Not fun at all!!!!! But, So far so good!!!

Before we get into the review, I have a few announcement for everyone! I’m in the process of getting a little Etsy store up and running. Show your support for UMG and check it out when it’s done 🙂 All purchases go to improving UMG and who know! Maybe even more :0

I’ve been hooked on Fallout Shelter! The new Mobile game where you’re in charge of your very own Shelter! How epic is that? I discovered this game right after I heard the fantastic news about Fallout 4. For those who have been living a secluded Shelter for a while, Bethesda has announced the next awesome installment of Fall Out Coming out November 10th of this year! I mean WHAT!!?!?! that’s so close! I think I may go crazy while I wait for it!

Now, Fallout Shelter is a lot different than the games. I know there have been some MObile version of games like Oblivion etc that have some of the story line in it but this one isn’t one of those.

You are the Overseer, the ruler of the might vault. It’s your job and yours alone (well…maybe Mr. Handy can help…) to make sure all of your dwellers are happy and not radioactive (I’m Radioactive, radioactive…). Those dwellers you deem worthy, can get sent out to the wastelands and collect bottle caps, gear and weapons to arm their fellow dwellers incase you get attacked by those Radroaches, Raiders and Mole Rats. God I hate Mole Rats….For those dwellers that have the stats you want to populate jobs or even just the shelter in general, you can breed them.  That’s right. You have little children running around your shelter like it’s nobody’s business. One time I forgot I had two people in the Barracks and I was overran by children. it was kind of scary.

Now, if breeding people isn’t your thing, you can always expaned your shelter with the hopes of getting new Dwellers for your place. RaideoStations work wonders for this. Now, not only do you have to worry about saving people, you can to worry about keeping them alive. Each person has their own unique trait that makes them useful. And I use that in a very light way. You have to train them basically to be totally awesome at their job, and even then sometimes that’s not enough. There are stats that each person has that makes them terrible or epic at a job. Those high in Agility help out in the Diner (why I am not terribly sure) Intelligence is for the Medpay and things like that Perception is Water Treatment and so forth. Once you get the right amount of dwellers you can train them in c talent to make them more useful and do what you need them to do.

Each room has something special about it. Diners make you food, Water Treatment water and you can’t forget energy. You can also build classrooms ect to train particular skills to make someone more perficiant in one place. The more you upgrade the better off your community will thrive. And thriving is good!

Of course, you think you’re safe and hidden away in the wastelands, but I’ll tell you what. You’re wrong. You are so wrong it’s not even funny. Hahaha! Ok, maybe it’s a little funny. There are multiple creatures that are out to make sure everyone dies, and you fail as an overseer. My favorite thing was my first Raider attack, because I didn’t have any weapons or anything. They just kinda came in, and took over everything and that was about it. However, once you get people with guns and armor, you’re basically unstoppable!

Graphics are pretty nice for a mobile game. The dwellers are Vault Boy variants, and I find that really neat. Even though sometimes I find it hard to tell my dwellers apart, but that kept me playing. The creatures that spawn are easily identified as well so that was hard to mix up.

For the most part, the sounds are pretty generic sounds. Nothing terribly special there. Default gun sounds, alarms and retro 60’s style music blips when you level up someone.

All in all if you’re looking for an addictive time killer, this may not be the one for you. It takes time to do anything, and everything takes time. Harvesting, exploration, breeding. It all can take a few mionutes for the minium amount and longer for even more. There’s also set backs if you’re looking to play it all at once.

I liked the game, it was enjoyable and something to do every hour or so for a few minutes before opening a book or playing another game.

I give it 7/10 bottle caps. Thought the game itself is part of a Legacy, it took a lot of time to ensure everything worked and even then, I had issued with the game. Random attack slaughtering my guys and even fires and Radiation killing off everyone. But, I still had fun with it. 🙂

Trove

I’ve been playing this game since it was in closed Beta, and I fell in love instantly. With the game being released, I was anxious to see what was added. With the many new classes and dungeons, I’m excited about this game.

I’ve been a fan of this game since I came across it. I enjoyed the unique style of of the game, as well as how you play with the different races. It reminds me of Minecraft/Hexit. When you start out, you’re given the Warrior and the Dracolyte. I’ve always been a huge fan of Dracolyte. Trove has classes for almost every style of game play. You have your straight Up Melee like your Warrior and Candy Barbarian. Then you spell casters like Dracolyte and Ice Sage. They even introduced Stealthy classes like Shadow Hunter and Neon Ninja to the game. The only type of play I don’t see in the game is a healing/support type of class. Some fights can get tough, and with Corner Stone Plots scattered, sometimes it’s hard to fill your health flask.

Wait a minute, what’s a Corner Stone plot, Unicorn? Only one of the best things about Trove! You’re given a house plot, for FREE and you have the power to make it look like whatever you want! =o How awesome is that? You can go up and down in the plot. Of course, you can’t build anything outside of the plot area, even a square or it will stay when you move your house. In the plots, you can create just about anything, torches, portals and even different colored blocks. \

So let’s talk Class. There’s so many to choose from, but there are some repeats in my opinion. Like Boomeranger and Shadow Hunter. Each offers their own flair to dungeoneering. There’s no customization save the Masks, Hats and weapons you get. If you feel like spending the money, you can buy costumes that really just kinda change colors with small variabilities. I really don’t mind this, but it would be cool to see some fancy things you can do that are free.

Dungeoneering is another great addition to this game. Dungeons tend to repeat themselves a lot, and you do the same fight over and over again, but they do offer a fair amount of Xp when completed. Some dungeons offer up something called “Scrolls” these fancy Do dads give you the ability to create new items for your Corner Stone that you find in specific areas. Like Candoria, you can get Candy Chimneys and pipes, that look delicious.

All in all, this game is unique in it’s own way. With the different classes and areas, it’s only a matter of time before you hit a repeat button on the area, it can get a little boring doing the same thing over and over again, or even seeing the same dungeon next to each other. The randomization in some area’s is silly. But that’s something neat about the game.

I’m giving Trove a 7/10. Though this game is fun and exciting, there’s so much they could have done but didn’t. Different classes (By different i mean like no repeats of a few classes), new dungeons just things like that, to be different from the Beta. At least it’s free to play! So anyone can enjoy the game!

Windward

Who hasn’t had the dream of being a pirate? I mean sailing the open seas killing other pirates, getting treasure and most importantly, getting the best looking ship out there! Arrrr!!!

Well your dream can finally come true! Windward is a pirate game where the goal is to be the best out there!!! Whao! A pirate game that’s not cartoonish? Oh yeah! You read that you are pirate sailing around in the openish waters fighting other pirates and doing quests to get money to buy upgrades. Yarrr!!

So you start out picking your map, if you’re playing by yourself or starting out a new server to play on with your friends. Once you pick or make your map you pick a side. The Map creation in this game is pretty neat. It’s a click and drag deal and you can make it ito any shape or size you want. It’s pretty fun if you’re into that type of map making. There are 4 different sides to pick from. Each had their own uses.

The Valiant, Exchange, Consulate and the Sojourn are the four factions you can choose from when you select your map. Each faction is unique like I said before.  For example, The Valiant get more experience and gold from fighting enemies while the Consulate gets more from Questing. The factions really don’t matter much besides starting locations, how your ship looks and that’ just about it.  There is a 5th faction, but it’s not playable but bribable. I’m not one to actually fight things so some of my gold I had went to bribing pirates to join me, and eventually they become part of your faction

Navigation isn’t terrible hard. You can use your WSAD keys or just your mouse. I find tho using the WSAD keys easier to manoeuvre through the seas and turn  and fight. However, starting out was a little difficult since if you hit land you take damage. The turning system for the ship is very wide, like an actual ship.  This is also very helpful but at the same time can be a huge pain. If you’re in the middle of a battle you want to turn wide to give yourself a better advantage to unleash the stinky fish barrels but if you catch yourself going in the wrong direction, a wide turn can do damage to you.

The graphics are actually very well done, and was one of the things that brought me to this game. Besides being a pirate of course. The water effects are actually very realistic. Every turn, movement or wobble your ship does, creates a ripple that looks to be in place. The ships art is also very unique to the game.  FIghting is also really engulfphing with the effects. Smoke, fire cannon balls, everything in this game was well done.

You can dye about everything on your ship, making it unique and personalized. You want a bright pink ship? Go for it! Blue and Purple ship? You betcha! Even the emblems are unique. Spiders, flowers, lions ect. Everything is at your fingertips to make the ship what you want it. Don’t forget the upgrades either. Each town has different dyes, emblems paints upgrade ect. You can buy new crew, cannonballs, captains and even throwable grossness to hurl at your enemies. The better the upgrades, the better you will be in battle.

The battle system in this game is a little different. You actually have blind spots and positions where you are unable to attack your foe, like a real ship battle. You can shoot your canons at them, throw fish guts or even give them gold and befriend them. There are multiple ways to play this game, and that’s one great thing about it.

All in all, this game is fun but each section of the maps repeat. Some of them you have to fight all the pirates to save the area while others you just get to quest. But each town offers something new with regards to ship modifications and crew. But, don’t let that bore you. The possibilities of being amushed by pirates always make the game exciting

I give this game 8\10 parrots. The game itself is beautiful and unique. I haven’t seen too many games like this. I do find the game exciting, and a surprise at every turn. I do however find a almost identical map and quest line boring after hours of question to get to use this upgrade I found in a shipwreck, But this is a recommended game!

Elder Scrolls Online

I have put off this review for awhile for a few reasons. Though I am a big fan of the Elder Scroll series, this game has been sweet and sour for me and I know I needed to make a review and try very hard to be non bias. This review is so late after the release due to the fact, I didn’t feel good about paying for a subscription to a game that I may not want to continue playing. So, let’s begin yes?

ESO is the next big thing, it’s what Skyrim should have been but that’s another story. Now, the Story for ESO is rather short. I came into this game knowing it was NOT going to be like the other Elder Scrolls games. So I wasn’t disappointed with the fact it’s literally NOTHING nothing the other games.

***SPOILERS****

Molag Bal has made a plan to bring Oblivion and Nirn together to create a giant hell. With all of the Chaos, Three groups formed to capture the Imperial City and the White Gold tower. High Rock, Sentinel, and Orsinium stand as one, united under the rule of the High King in Wayrest. Valenwood and Elsweyr have forged an alliance of their own with Summerset, while Black Marsh, Morrowind, and Skyrim have formed a third. And then there’s you, picking your side and your story.

Character Creation and Classes

Like Oblivion and Skyrim, the character creation can take a single click of Randomize or it can take hours to create the perfect character you want. I’ve played Khajiit since I started ES and I was happy I was able to recreate my little kitty in ESO.

Once you get that task done it’s time to select your class. There’s four you can choose from, unlike the customization you had with the other games. You have the Dragonknight, Sorcerer, Nightblade and Templar. Unlike the other games, each class has a set number of points you get with 3 unique skill lines. Each class has their own set of roles as well. For example, as a DragonKnight you can role as a tank or DPS. Sorcerer can be Heals or DPS. It just depends on your style of play. I happened to start off as a Nightblade since My Kitty was always a sneaky lil bugger. The class wasn’t what I expected. I assumed I would rely more on stealth than I actually do.

Game play: Is it worth being a MMO?

ESO is a typical MMO with a few issues along the way, that I will get into later.

The controls are simple and you have to know what to do and where to look to get some of th default hot keys for the game. I got the imperial edition so I was also given the white horse which you could level at about anytime you wanted but There was no guide on how to use it. When I looked it up, all I saw was buy it for a gold and then it’s yours. Turns out I had already learned it and I ended up wasting all of my gold to fire out all I had to do was hit H.  This wasn’t actually a big deal. The PC controls are like that of the game with the fun fact it’s in MMO form.

With PVP and Solo play there isn’t much you can’t do. LIke the other games you have the option to join the guilds, steal and have a great time….when you’re alone. Once you join a party is when things start to get interesting. Unlike many other MMO’s out there today, even if you’re in a party you find yourself working Solo instead of together. Even with Dungeons, you had to rely on yourself more than others to get the job done. So I ask, what’s the point in being an MMO then? If you can’t work with your group then why?

Support and final thoughts:

I will give this game kudos on their support staff. They are friendly and will work with you to get your account back in working order. I had some issues with my Beta account and I was unable to get my game tied to it. Working with a staff member, I was able to get my Beta title on my new account, thus able to get the pet.

With all of the things I find annoying in the game. It’s still a good one. I think I had a bit of a head start with my mindset that this wasn’t another ES Game, and that it was going to be different. I am super excited to revisit some areas I played with in games and see what they have done to make them different to match the time line.

With everything being said, I give this game 7/10 Skooma. It’s a typical MMO with hopes of you playing Solo. As much as I can see the effort made to try to make it so you can play with your friends. But if I wanted to play by myself, I would pick up Skyrim or Oblivion.

Don’t Starve Together

So I know I said I would be on the ball and actually be on time with reviews…well once more…*sigh* Life just doesn’t like me…Anyways…yeah so New plan…a new better plan that involves planning! AWAY!!!!

I have the most wonderful chance to get to play Don’t Starve Together! This game…is so much fun and challenging at the same time. This review is also delayed, but if you were watching my stream a bit a go, you’d see how much fun I had playing with friends and getting attacked by a giant tree creature… (Positng the link below!)

The concept of this game is simple….don’t starve, don’t go insane and don’t die. Each is difficult in it’s own manner.

Don’t Starve

You go around the world and collect item that may or may not be edible. Most of the time I found if you throw something in the fire you’d be safe but other times I wasn’t as lucky. If you don’t make a cooler or something similar your food will spoil and make you sick..and then you can skip to the third step, don’t die.

Don’t go Insane

This one I found to be difficult when you forget simple things like a camp fire or anything with light for the night time. Once you are at a certain point in your sanity the creepy shadow creatures you see at night start to attack you…and it leave your friend wondering what is wrong with you…A lot. The answer is a lot.

Don’t Di…..arrrrrrgh!

Everything can and will kill you if given the right motive. Whether you try to eat their young or you burn down their home. Nothing is safe, almost like Australia….We had Wolves, bees, Tall legged birds and even Trees (You know…the things with Bark and leaves that aren’t supposed to move?) attack us….It was rough but at least I could see my Sister, Anabell, again.

Did you see the graphics?

I sure did! The unique style this game brings a new Idea that simple is better (kind of like Minecraft but not so Pixelated ya know?). Each character, item and creature have their own special colors, shapes and characteristics. This game really stands out to me!

Shake, shake that game gurl!

It’s a click to play game, like Diablo, Wildstar and many other games. I feel you have a little less control of where you stop moving than controller and WSAD games, but I feel like that may just be me! I found myself walking into the wrong areas because I misclicked or held my mouse buttons down for too long. I mean, I don’t mind trouble, but sometimes it happened at the worse times! Oops!

All joking aside, I fell in love with this game. I like the lack of voice particularly. Each character had it’s own unique sound so even if you weren’t looking at your screen you could tell when someone needed your attention. The graphics and the points of survival made this one of my top games for 2015… I only wish I had more hours in the day to enjoy this game!!

Don’t stave Together gets 9/10 carrots. I highly recommend this game to anyone who’s looking for a great way to spend time and a little money. This game becomes more fun when you bring your friends with you! Survive or perish together!
