Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Imagine a world where you were asleep for a hundred years or so, only to wake up to find out the world isn’t what it used to be and Ganon is back at it being a bag guy! But what can you do? The answer? Whatever you want. The world belongs to you!

Welcome to the open world that is Breath of the Wild, a facilitating yet beautiful new entry in the LoZ series as well as a launch title for the New Nintendo Switch. With this game being as massive as well as all the hype, I will admit, this may be one of my favorite games of the year. Here’s why!

The graphics are something that I’ve been before, but seeing it for this game just made it something special. I’m not a gigantic fan of the cell shade type deal, but something about this drew me to it and I can’t really place why. Maybe it is the fan girl in me or maybe it’s something more. It’s hard to say. The graphics were so well constructed and just in it’s own original beauty, it’s hard to think of anything bad to say.

The creatures, people and bosses are beautiful and unique to the LoZ world. Each thing in the world brought something unique to the table whether it was a weapon, or a piece of food. Everything did something in this game and had some use. I don’t think I’ve killed anything and never had something I couldn’t use drop. I always had use for something, unless I couldn’t carry any more weapons, but that was ok šŸ˜€

So this brings up something else, there is durability loss in this game, and to me it’s a big weird, but at the same time I kind of like it. Durability is different game to game. Sometimes items are just unusable until you repair them, or sometimes they just disappear into oblivion. In BoW, you literally have to carry multiple weapons, shields and armor pieces with you at all times because once the item drops, you lose it forever. There’s no repair function in the game, and I find that a bit odd. I mean, there are some tricks that can “repair” them or you can find the unbreakable weapons, but I just find it weird. I literally can’t think of anything that doesn’t let you repair.

Combat is a lot of fun in this game, and they let you go anywhere you want, whenever you want. If you want to do the boss fight, then go. Fight him to your hearts content! May Zelda bless you…..like really. You’ll probably die a few times but where there’s a will there’s a way!   There’s no skills to really level up in the game, but you do unlock spells to help you out through trials and what not. There’s weapons you can steal from other creatures or find throughout the areas. But the biggest thing is there’s open combat. You can fight whatever you want, when you want and how you want.  My favorite part is you can literally stealthily kill your foes by sneaking into their camp and throwing a bomb, or shooting a fire arrow and stuff like that. The possibilities are endless!

The storyline is great as well. With it being an open world you have the typical Hero/Villain, Save the Princess type deal, but it goes a little deeper than that.  I’m aware the game has been out for awhile, but I also know there’s many people who have yet to play it, so I’m keeping it at that. I don’t want to spoil anything for you guys.

I really enjoyed the game, just like I enjoy my switch. I’m very happy with it and can’t wait to see if anything else happens in Hyrule.
I give LoZ BoW 9/10 rupees. I love this game and it’s do what you want whenever attitude. The fact that it’s gorgeous, creative and very inclusive make it a def. top 10 for 2017.  But there is still more to come am I right? Half way through the year we got this!!

Portal Knights

This was a game that I went into enjoying the trailer then when I got to actually sit down and play the game, I grew bored. Granted, Iā€™m aware this game is in early access but if you canā€™t draw me in now, I mean really? Once this game fully comes out, I will do another review, but hereā€™s my thoughts on it so far.

The idea of this game is youā€™re some hero who goes through portals to various world and you find portal pieces to build new portals and then you go through those and have to find more pieces and itā€™s a never ending story.

There are a few classes you can pick from like Archer and  mage. Literally you find  abse so you can craft items and stuff then you head out into the massive world and farm mobs until you get a higher level and you find those portal pieces and then you go to a tougher world etc.

The concept is there, but I think the execution should have been a bit better. The big bad bosses they show off are easily missed and theyā€™re pretty cool. I remember fighting this worm and had to figure out the mechanics of the fight to kill him but that was about it. Other than that fun experience, it was a normal boring grind where mobs could easily one shot you and then youā€™re back at the start of the map.

Granted, I felt like I was getting stronger, I didnā€™t actually think i was getting anywhere in the story and that was a little upsetting. I didnā€™t want to spend time in not progressing when thatā€™s what I wanted to happen.

So far, I havenā€™t touched the game since I got to about level 16 Iā€™ll be honest with you guys, this game is boring to me. The pure repetitiveness of this game just kills it for me. The portals are unique but a lot of mobs are copy and paste with different colors.

Right now, you can buy into the early access for 11.99 USD. IF you want to give this game a try, go ahead, I will post another review for this game when it fully releases and give my final thoughts on it.

So far, this game is a 5/10. The cool concept is there but I feel like there could be so much more to this game that just needs to be in there like a non locking combat system. An actual story line that isnā€™t a straight up and slash n hack.  Anything like that and I would happily raise the gameā€™s score!!!!

Gears of War 4

The long awaited installment of the Gears of War series is finally here! Omg! šŸ˜€ Iā€™ve been waiting for a redemption. Judgement was a terrible place to end it! UGH!!!!

Alright so, letā€™s get this started!!!

A new story with new foes and new characters really help you immerse yourself into this game. I like the idea of playing J.D but at the same time, it was so great to see Marcus again. The idea is that the locust have returned but seem to be fascinated with kidnapping people from towns and doing whatever with this (turns out they were messing with their DNA or something and making the Swarm BUM BUM BUMMMMM)

Now, the storyline is short but very intense. You play as JD, who left the Cog and with the help of his friends, try to find out why the Swarm is taking their family and other humans. There you run into Marcus again and then a big mess appears and itā€™s just more fun to experience the fun at this point!!

Combat is very straightforward, and you rely on cover to make sure you donā€™t die. The accuracy of the weapons is always great and itā€™s nice to find a bad ass weapons laying around after you slaughter your foes, and thereā€™s nothing bad with a little blood on your boots.

Now, they do add some horde mode esc type deals in the story line as well. You have to set up certain things to help the story a long. A turret here, a barrier there. You are literally only as strong as your weakest link and itā€™s a make or break situation when itā€™s there!!!

The real awesome thing is the Multiplayer modes :O They have added a portable energy station so you can literally pick the best spot possible and that you are READY for the foes who dare threaten your life ecte ect.

Besides Horde Mode, thereā€™s a few new things they added to make the PvP in this game really competitive and really make you work your noggin to be the best (Like no one ever was DUN DUN DUN..To…wait, wrong game)

Now itā€™s also worth noting, there were some issues I ran into while playing. The major one was there were some situations where events didnā€™t trigger which left me to redo a chapter or an  area and it lead to kind of a boring experience. But who knows, maybe itā€™ll get fixed in the future That’d be awesome!!!!

This is a def. 7/10 cogs. Though I really enjoyed the game, the bugs kinda killed the game for a me a little. Now, donā€™t get me wrong. Iā€m going to keep playing it and until i finish all the levels, but the bugs turned me away a little. But itā€™s def.a noteworthy game šŸ˜€

Skyrim Special Edition

This is going to be a short and sweet review.

Literally, Itā€™s Skyrim but prettier. Now, I got it for free since I had it on PC, and my thoughts are the same.

Itā€™s Skyrim, with the DLC and prettier. I really donā€™t feel the need to say more than that. I mean the story line is the same. The game play is the same. The glitches are the same. Itā€™s Skyrim.

I’m aware there are a lot of people who are very pissed off about this, but I have to ask. What did you expect? They never promised it would be a new game. They never said they were ADDING anything. Just it was prettier. SO everyone giving this game a bad review can suck it.

I still and always will give this game 8/10. Some of the bugs make it unplayable/completable but thatā€™s fine! Itā€™s a great remastering of a great series and I just canā€™t get enough of it!!

The Forest

I don’t know about you. But the words Cannibal and Forest intrigue me. Now this may be because I am a huge fan of The Hills Have Eyes. Or any sort of horror film that involves anything like this….I think? I think it’s more, this is an idea I can get behind and support. So, with that being said. Let’s get started!

You start off in a neat little crash scene where some big guy steals your kid. Most parents would try to save them, you just kinda pass out. Some father….Anywho, once you wake up your “to do” list says that you need to build shelter, find food and water ect ect. Basic survival things. But then it says to find passengers, and Timmy. What have they done for you? I dunno but eh.

Build build build a fort, and eat all the legs!

Building is time consuming, but it’s so much fun because ti adds to the difficulty in my opionon. The more you clear cut the forest, the more upset the cannibals get and they more they want to getcha! The trick is to build a Log sled. I know it seems like such a silly thing but they can carry like 9 logs! And when a simple log cabin requires like 13? You do the math. šŸ˜‰

Once you get your base set up, next would be to focus on food and water. Hopefully you’re not far from a lake or a turtle (Sorry PETA) or legs and arms will be on the menu for you. If you don’t mind losing your sanity, then this is a gret rout to go. Not only will you have a steady food supply you can also get bones from the limbs you chow down on and you can use them to build things. I’m currently working on build a bone fence around my Cannibal Witch house. But that is just me šŸ™‚

Now, let’s get down to these Cannibals. These are what make the game on edge and exciting. There are about 5 different types of cannibals each more deadly than the last. You have the skinny ones, that are some what harmless. They don’t do a lot of damage solo, but in a big group, watch out. Virgina and Cowman though, are dangerous no matter how you look ta it.  The trick is to Dodge. Oh….wait THEY dodge. Silly Lily!!

But let’s get down to business right now. You can’t defeat all the cannibals and mutants with your silly little axe you get from the dead flight attendant.  You have the Bow and arrows, stone axes, and you can steal the maces off some of the cannibals. It’s really up to you. Do you survive or conform?! I tried to conform but then my friends started to give me sacrifices of human flesh so I could spare them and then it just got funky!

Any who…it’s always better to just survive and explore when you feel it’s right! I mean you can’t just stay in your safe little fort with endless food, when there’s a WHOLE island to explore! WHAT?! A entire Island inhabited with cannibals and mutants and Cannibal Witches (Me. I’m referring to me).

The true end goal, is to find the passengers and your son. Or, you know you can just kinda do whatever you want. Survive, Thrive, Die. Whatever floats your boat! DO IT! JUST DO IT!

Long story short, this is a great survival horror game, and I like it. It’s fun to play with friends, but at the same time it’s fun alone! I give this game a 8/10. Thought it is sill in Alpha, it’s still so much fun! I cannot wait to see the final prodcut and I will be keeping this under watch šŸ˜‰

Tom Clancy’s The Division

Another installment in the Tom Clancy series was released a few weeks ago. So, why is this review coming out so late? I had a lot of games on my list to play, so this review got pushed back a little. I apologize. Def. not something Iā€™m happy about but it was something that happened. Before I start this review, I want to warn you there may be spoilers. So be warned!!!!!!

I know what a lot of you are probably thinking. But Uni, we havenā€™t seen you stream this game at all!! I know. I want to add that I am not sorry about it neither. Why? Because all youā€™d hear is me cussing and fuming haha. But that doesnā€™t mean I donā€™t stream other games.

So what is the Division? For those who havenā€™t seen or heard anything about it…the Division is a story about a virus mutation that took over NY and Brooklyn. You were a sleeper agent that was woke up to help the situation.

Who are you Agent?

The first thing I was to start with is the Character Creation, or lack thereof. I get it. I really do. I mean you donā€™t SEE the face of your agent all the time, but there are more CLOTHES in the game then Hair styles. The hell is up with that? Iā€™m not asking for full customization but I want more.  LIke, I was aiming for a Panda Agent. And the face paint isnā€™t as dark as I want it.

But enough about looks. You can customize your guns as well. I rather enjoy having a bright pink, bright turquoise and bright purple gun. I feel empowered.

Taking small arms fire! SMALL ARMS FIRE!!!

Guns. Theyā€™re things you fill with bullets and shoot enemies, or if you like it, other players. Thereā€™s a lot you can actually do with the firearms in this game. From Mods, skins and shooting. I feel like itā€™s realistic for the most part. The reverb is there as well as shock.

The mods you get and help improve your aim, damage, stability among other things. I enjoy my Vector right now, now if I could replace my second gun that would be grand. Pistols are pretty much useless in my opinion. They donā€™t do a lot of damage so thereā€™s no point in having them, besides theyā€™re required for whatever reason. I would love to carry around another machine gun instead of a pistol, but whatever. Who needs three Useful guns? Not Agent Panda.

Many Agents go into the Dark Zoneā€¦.not many come out.

There is a place called the Dark Zone, or as I call it, the place for people to be a piece of shit. The idea of PvP in this game is very welcomed. I like the fact that I have the OPTION to kill another player and steal their loot. But thereā€™s a difference between wanting their loot and being a troll.

For the time being. The Dark Zone is end game. So thereā€™s not a lot to do besides the daily missions. The dailies are repeats of quests you did during the story line but at a harder difficulty. This to me is very welcomed. I like being challenged. I like fighting harder NPC and the change at Phat Loots. I mean who doesnā€™t enjoy loot? No one. Thatā€™s who!

Now, letā€™s get back to the Dark Zone. The DZ is in the middle of NY, itā€™s the center of attention at end game. The NPC are a lot harder and require more skills. Skills? Why skills? If you accidently hit another player while fighting NPC, well guess what. Youā€™re Rogue.

Now, a Rogue agent are those that go against what they were trained and kill other Agents. From what I gathered, sometimes Rogues are cool, other times theyā€™re real jerks. Iā€™ve come to the point where itā€™s best not to pick up loot until you can extract them immediately.

All in all, itā€™s a Tom Clancy game. I liked the story, I liked the game play. My only actual complaint about the game is the Dark Zone. As it sits right now, thereā€™s no punishment for the players who cheat and use cheats to go rogue. That takes the thrill out of the Dark Zone. I liked running around in a ā€œtrust no oneā€ mind set. Now Iā€™m scared of my own shadow because I finally get this upgrade and BAM! Itā€™s all gone.

This game is going to get a 6/10. I enjoyed the game, but the Dark Zone kind of killed the score of this game. People cheating the system for gain, is wrong. I will revisit The Division when the xpacks come out, if i get them, Itā€™s a little iffy now. But who knows. Thereā€™s always tomorrow.  Or is there?

Creativerse

Creativerse

Creativerse is just one of those games that you use to kill time. A Minecraft Remake, it adds new lands, creatures and adventure to your gaming history.

I rather enjoyed the game, but I finished the story line in less than a day and it left me yearning way more. Ā It is an early access title, so I will be keeping my eye on it šŸ™‚

You start out at a spawn point with nothing in your inventory except a note…In my opinion, a super creepy note written by someone I donā€™t know that told me to run away from home and hopefully Iā€™d survive in the wilderness.

Yes, you read that right. Youā€™re a runaway. A runaway. I mean youā€™re literally a little kid alone in the woods hoping to survive the night. How? Why? No idea. Itā€™s literally one of those things where youā€™re scared to question it, but at the very same time…WHATā€™S WITH THE NOTE MAN COMMON! Whatā€™s in the note?!?!?!

The beauty of Ā the game.

The beauty lies with the blocks in this game. Everything is unique and different and not pixelates. It reminds me of Trove, but with more details. From the Bark on the tree to the spots on the giant crabs. This game is a great remake of classics and I think does some sort of Honor to the genre, for those who just do vanilla graphics and doesnā€™t touch mods. (JS!!).

The total amount of detail spend on this game is pretty nice. I can tell what dirt is, dying grass, logs animals. Iā€™m not sitting here like ā€œHm this looks like water, nope itā€™s a hole annnnnnnd Iā€™m dead. Crap.ā€

Taming, mining and farming. Oh my!

Thereā€™s a lot more to this game then surviving your first night. You can Thrive! If you follow me on Instagram (link in my contact section) Youā€™ve probably noticed me posting picture of things Iā€™ve tamed. Taming is HUGE in this game if you canā€™t find the right materials in a timely manner. If you know me, then Ā you know Iā€™m all about taming and farming and being one with Nature. Heh.

Taming creatures is beneficial only if youā€™re looking at drops. Right now, they donā€™t fight with you. But all creatures are tameable. If you have the health, patience and the time šŸ™‚

Farming is a bit fun. You gather Turnips, melons cabbage and wheat, grind them into seeds and Vu la! Food. Food that can be made into sandwiches, soups, weapons, bombs. Or you can just feed animals that like the veggie. That works too. When you feed your tamed companion, you can later harvest them and get what they would normally drop plus a few extra things. Who knew a sammich would be useful!

Oh where to start with miningā€¦.Mining. Ā Itā€™s just like it sounds. YOu start off mining wood and dirt. Ooo. Exciting. You have to mining a mining tool, that attaches to your wrist and sucks up stones and other things. I will admit, this is pretty neat. No more running around picking up blocks for me! Nope! This is when my only real issue with the games comes in. To advance, you have to FIND materials to make the more advanced tools. And I had a hard time finding the elements i needed to go on. I still trudged on tho and got to the third mining level, but then that was it. I was heartbroken.

It may have just been luck, but thatā€™s what made me change to my farmer-self that I know and love.

To play or not to play?

Though this game is in early release, there are bugs and a short story. Iā€™m sure as they start adding to the game, it wonā€™t be a let down. The game has the exact same aspects as Minecraft. Thereā€™s the surface layer, then you mine down and you get to an end layer called, Corruption. There are tougher creatures there to fight and phat loots. Ā

Personally, I found it harder to gather materials, and was happy that i had a team with me. Like with some games, I ended up being the supplier of foods and good, in exchange for weapons, armor and mining tools. Ā Which Iā€™m OK with. It was still super fun, I got to follow people to the Corruption and just plain enjoy the game šŸ™‚

I give this game a 7/10. I do suggest to you guys, to give the game a try. If you donā€™t like it, youā€™ll only be out on time šŸ™‚ Itā€™s free to play! So common! Give it a gooooo!!!!!!

ARK: Survival Evolved

Hey everyone! Lily here, finally! Sorry about the stupid long absence. A lot has happened since my last review…The big thing was I did lose my job, so weā€™ve had to concentrate our time with other things, but it seems like stuff may be calming down now. I have the time to sit down and write a review for you guys!

With that being said. I was to let you guys know I am in the process of opening a tiny little online store to sell some nerdy things. From Earrings to Phone Charms! Whoot! Iā€™m also looking into expanding my reviews to a few other areas, but thatā€™s for another post!

So letā€™s get this bad boy out!

Ark is one of those neat little games that you either love or hate. Itā€™s still in a beta stage, so there are some buggies and glitches but for the most part itā€™s easy to see where the game is going. But this review isnā€™t going to go on and on about those, because in my eyes, this game has SO much more to offer itā€™s players!!!

The Game Play

Imagine a world where you build homes, famr your materials and ultimately tame the biggest most bad ass dinosaur around. . I know what youā€™re thinking. ā€œLIly, come on now this is Minecraft on steroids in prehistoric timesā€ Pft…way to be a kill joyā€¦

Though this game has characteristics of Minecraft, it is itā€™s own game with the respect…THERE ARE NO DINOSAURS IN MINECRAFT! (Disclaimer: Mods donā€™t count!) Now, this game isnā€™t all about dinosaurs now. There is so much to do, and even more to explore! But be careful. It is a dangerous world out there. One that can and will kill you without a second thought.

Curiosity can be a deadly thing in this game. Death isnā€™t something to take lightly in this game, and Iā€™ll touch base on that a little alter. When it comes to ARKS, oh boy name of the game, you will want to check them out. With good intentions too. They have better gear, plans and other objects youā€™ll need to progress further into the game. One huge problem we came across is a lot of the ARKs in the spawning area, were wayyyy too high level, and eventually went to waste. It was so sad

Death in this game, is a serious deal. Itā€™s very easy to lose yourself in the game and find a hungry velociraptor that wants to make you itā€™s next meal.  When you die, you lose everything. Clothes, gear, weapons, food. Everything. You do though, have a set amount of time to retrieve your items. Failure to do so, and you can kiss your work good bye.  šŸ™

But Lily, why is this such a HUGE deal? Iā€™ll tell you guys why. It takes a lot of time and work to collect items, and a lot of concentration to realize, hey these berries are going bad in 30 seconds what do? Or you spend HOURS collecting enough materials to finish your little tiny hut to protect yourself against dinosaurs and the cold.  But one wrong move. Blip. Everything you gathered, crafted made. Gone.

No matter where you put food, it will always spoil. At least, thatā€™s what we had an issue with. It made it hard to survive starting out, and tame some bad ass dinosaurs to run with us. ( I will always remember you Fluffy! You fought well beside me!)

Letā€™s get into taming dinosaurs really quick before. Depending on the type of Dinosaur, you either have to use precious meat, or common berries. I use the term precious because a dinosaur can be level 2, and kick your ass back to the pre-metazoa age. BA BAM, Science. Ok back on topic…meat and berries can and will spoil even if you feed them to the dinosaur. The time it takes to tame? Depends on the level from what we found. A level 3 dinosaur, once you knock it out, took us up to 20 minutes (this is real life time!!) to tame. I had time to collect some items, kick the dinosaur a few times, and finish building my house before I had a nice Triceratops following me around wanting to murder anything that touched me.

I lost that Triceratopsā€¦.I got ambushed by two velociraptors. They killed me first, then killed him. Oh…I was so sadā€¦..

Howā€™s the game feel?

The graphics for the most part are fantastic and beautiful. You could see the dinosaur eyelids, the veins in the grass. Oh this game was so pretty.  I posted a few pictures on my Instagram of Fluffy. You can see every scale, claw and tooth on that bad boy. There were a few things that clipped and kind of floatedā€¦.Floating grass seemed to be a big thing in this little grove we found.

I found myself, lost a lot and totally focusing on the game. I knew it was a game but at the same time, I just wanted to see everything I could in there. I will say though, this is one of the better visually appealing games Iā€™ve played in awhile.

Now, when I said that I found myself lost in this game, it wasnā€™t the graphics alone. The sound effects in the game also drew me in. From the bird chirps to the sound of my impending doom (raptor calls), I just felt like I was in the forest. I was on the beach. I was getting eaten alive. I think you get the picture. Though a lot of the sound repeated, it was easy to identify the dinosaurs, and made calling out to my friends easy.

ā€œHey, Trombones, Raptor ahead, letā€™s go this wayā€ or ā€œOh hey! Tire, I hear a turtle! Letā€™s kill it for food!ā€  #justdinothings

What do you think of the game?

Well, with everything being said. I like the game. The idea of losing progress is something that would technically happen in the real world. The idea of taming dinosaurs to have them hunt with you and eventually irde is one of the best things about this game. Iā€™m not a biig fan of the time it takes to collect items to make shelter, fires and other things needed to basically stay alive, and the amount of stuff it takes to maintain them…you can kiss exploration goodbye sometimes. All in all, I liked the game, and canā€™t wait to play again. My ultimate goal, is to be a Raptor Queen and kill everyone in my clan, I mean path. I meanā€¦.oh who am I kidding. No one would mess with raptors.

I give this game 6/10. I liked the game, but losing hours of progress all because a level 2 dinosaur snuck up on you when youā€™re level 20 isnā€™t fun. I was literally scared to leave the Brotto (I didnā€™t name it)  Itā€™s easy to lose, but at the same time when you get what you need itā€™s  easy to be ahead.

Fallout Shelter

Hey everyone! Hope you have all been well! Iā€™ve been stuck in a Shelter waiting for the perfect time to get out and I thought now would be a good time to tell you about what I have been up to! Well, by being stuck in a Shelter, I mean I’ve been having some major back problems which have been preventing me from doing pretty much anything I wanted to do. Not fun at all!!!!! But, So far so good!!!

Before we get into the review, I have a few announcement for everyone! Iā€™m in the process of getting a little Etsy store up and running. Show your support for UMG and check it out when itā€™s done šŸ™‚ All purchases go to improving UMG and who know! Maybe even more :0

Iā€™ve been hooked on Fallout Shelter! The new Mobile game where youā€™re in charge of your very own Shelter! How epic is that? I discovered this game right after I heard the fantastic news about Fallout 4. For those who have been living a secluded Shelter for a while, Bethesda has announced the next awesome installment of Fall Out Coming out November 10th of this year! I mean WHAT!!?!?! thatā€™s so close! I think I may go crazy while I wait for it!

Now, Fallout Shelter is a lot different than the games. I know there have been some MObile version of games like Oblivion etc that have some of the story line in it but this one isnā€™t one of those.

You are the Overseer, the ruler of the might vault. Itā€™s your job and yours alone (well…maybe Mr. Handy can helpā€¦) to make sure all of your dwellers are happy and not radioactive (Iā€™m Radioactive, radioactiveā€¦). Those dwellers you deem worthy, can get sent out to the wastelands and collect bottle caps, gear and weapons to arm their fellow dwellers incase you get attacked by those Radroaches, Raiders and Mole Rats. God I hate Mole Ratsā€¦.For those dwellers that have the stats you want to populate jobs or even just the shelter in general, you can breed them.  Thatā€™s right. You have little children running around your shelter like itā€™s nobodyā€™s business. One time I forgot I had two people in the Barracks and I was overran by children. it was kind of scary.

Now, if breeding people isnā€™t your thing, you can always expaned your shelter with the hopes of getting new Dwellers for your place. RaideoStations work wonders for this. Now, not only do you have to worry about saving people, you can to worry about keeping them alive. Each person has their own unique trait that makes them useful. And I use that in a very light way. You have to train them basically to be totally awesome at their job, and even then sometimes thatā€™s not enough. There are stats that each person has that makes them terrible or epic at a job. Those high in Agility help out in the Diner (why I am not terribly sure) Intelligence is for the Medpay and things like that Perception is Water Treatment and so forth. Once you get the right amount of dwellers you can train them in c talent to make them more useful and do what you need them to do.

Each room has something special about it. Diners make you food, Water Treatment water and you canā€™t forget energy. You can also build classrooms ect to train particular skills to make someone more perficiant in one place. The more you upgrade the better off your community will thrive. And thriving is good!

Of course, you think youā€™re safe and hidden away in the wastelands, but Iā€™ll tell you what. Youā€™re wrong. You are so wrong itā€™s not even funny. Hahaha! Ok, maybe itā€™s a little funny. There are multiple creatures that are out to make sure everyone dies, and you fail as an overseer. My favorite thing was my first Raider attack, because I didnā€™t have any weapons or anything. They just kinda came in, and took over everything and that was about it. However, once you get people with guns and armor, youā€™re basically unstoppable!

Graphics are pretty nice for a mobile game. The dwellers are Vault Boy variants, and I find that really neat. Even though sometimes I find it hard to tell my dwellers apart, but that kept me playing. The creatures that spawn are easily identified as well so that was hard to mix up.

For the most part, the sounds are pretty generic sounds. Nothing terribly special there. Default gun sounds, alarms and retro 60ā€™s style music blips when you level up someone.

All in all if youā€™re looking for an addictive time killer, this may not be the one for you. It takes time to do anything, and everything takes time. Harvesting, exploration, breeding. It all can take a few mionutes for the minium amount and longer for even more. Thereā€™s also set backs if youā€™re looking to play it all at once.

I liked the game, it was enjoyable and something to do every hour or so for a few minutes before opening a book or playing another game.

I give it 7/10 bottle caps. Thought the game itself is part of a Legacy, it took a lot of time to ensure everything worked and even then, I had issued with the game. Random attack slaughtering my guys and even fires and Radiation killing off everyone. But, I still had fun with it. šŸ™‚

Windward

Who hasn’t had the dream of being a pirate? I mean sailing the open seas killing other pirates, getting treasure and most importantly, getting the best looking ship out there! Arrrr!!!

Well your dream can finally come true! Windward is a pirate game where the goal is to be the best out there!!! Whao! A pirate game thatā€™s not cartoonish? Oh yeah! You read that you are pirate sailing around in the openish waters fighting other pirates and doing quests to get money to buy upgrades. Yarrr!!

So you start out picking your map, if youā€™re playing by yourself or starting out a new server to play on with your friends. Once you pick or make your map you pick a side. The Map creation in this game is pretty neat. Itā€™s a click and drag deal and you can make it ito any shape or size you want. Itā€™s pretty fun if youā€™re into that type of map making. There are 4 different sides to pick from. Each had their own uses.

The Valiant, Exchange, Consulate and the Sojourn are the four factions you can choose from when you select your map. Each faction is unique like I said before.  For example, The Valiant get more experience and gold from fighting enemies while the Consulate gets more from Questing. The factions really donā€™t matter much besides starting locations, how your ship looks and thatā€™ just about it.  There is a 5th faction, but itā€™s not playable but bribable. Iā€™m not one to actually fight things so some of my gold I had went to bribing pirates to join me, and eventually they become part of your faction

Navigation isnā€™t terrible hard. You can use your WSAD keys or just your mouse. I find tho using the WSAD keys easier to manoeuvre through the seas and turn  and fight. However, starting out was a little difficult since if you hit land you take damage. The turning system for the ship is very wide, like an actual ship.  This is also very helpful but at the same time can be a huge pain. If youā€™re in the middle of a battle you want to turn wide to give yourself a better advantage to unleash the stinky fish barrels but if you catch yourself going in the wrong direction, a wide turn can do damage to you.

The graphics are actually very well done, and was one of the things that brought me to this game. Besides being a pirate of course. The water effects are actually very realistic. Every turn, movement or wobble your ship does, creates a ripple that looks to be in place. The ships art is also very unique to the game.  FIghting is also really engulfphing with the effects. Smoke, fire cannon balls, everything in this game was well done.

You can dye about everything on your ship, making it unique and personalized. You want a bright pink ship? Go for it! Blue and Purple ship? You betcha! Even the emblems are unique. Spiders, flowers, lions ect. Everything is at your fingertips to make the ship what you want it. Donā€™t forget the upgrades either. Each town has different dyes, emblems paints upgrade ect. You can buy new crew, cannonballs, captains and even throwable grossness to hurl at your enemies. The better the upgrades, the better you will be in battle.

The battle system in this game is a little different. You actually have blind spots and positions where you are unable to attack your foe, like a real ship battle. You can shoot your canons at them, throw fish guts or even give them gold and befriend them. There are multiple ways to play this game, and thatā€™s one great thing about it.

All in all, this game is fun but each section of the maps repeat. Some of them you have to fight all the pirates to save the area while others you just get to quest. But each town offers something new with regards to ship modifications and crew. But, donā€™t let that bore you. The possibilities of being amushed by pirates always make the game exciting

I give this game 8\10 parrots. The game itself is beautiful and unique. I havenā€™t seen too many games like this. I do find the game exciting, and a surprise at every turn. I do however find a almost identical map and quest line boring after hours of question to get to use this upgrade I found in a shipwreck, But this is a recommended game!

I wanted to apologize to you guys for taking so long to post this review. I have had a lot going on, and I had to make some choices. I think everything has calmed down finally so Iā€™m going to get back in the rhythm! Iā€™m sorry again!
