Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE

So hi guys I know its been while, so whats new?? I’ll blog abut it later for you guys heh.

So,this was one of two games that came out on my birthday this year and it was super hard to pick one. Truthfully it came down to the fact I was going to be very busy for awhile and I needed a game I could take with me wherever I went but don’t worry, I’ll play Kakarot here next! With that being said, let’s get this started!!!

I am going to start this off by saying that I love this series of games, and it’s developers. With the announcement of Byleth being in Super Smash, it made me even more excited for this. Now I know what you’re probably thinking. But Lily, I am so tired of Fire Emblem characters being in Super Smash, I want more thing. to that I say “meh….” Whatever though it’s time for the review.

I wasn’t lucky enough to play this game on the Wii U when it came up. I owned one but at the time I wasn’t able to play it. So the chance i get to play it now was a really exciting moment for me. I am a huge fan of Atlus and I have been for several years. So I already knew I was going to like this game. There were several things that really stood out to me.

You are, like in most JRPG, a highschool student out to help your friend find her sister. With her help and the help of interesting ghost type characters that are based on the Fire Emblem series. The game has a real focus on modern day Japan and the rich lore behind the ghosts that help you in battle.

I loved the combat in the game. the different moves you can learn and how some moves are stronger of weaker on certain mobs was a real plus. I really enjoy games that do stuff like this and it made combat more fun. When you exploited a weakness, your partner in fight has a chance to attack on thier own starting a session and taking out the enemy.

Outside of combat, the story line was a little light and fluffy. As you go on through the story line you find out there’s a few styles of quests that you can do with your friends. You will watch them turn into the stars you knew they could be. That’s kind of it. It’s easy to say that this game is mostly about combat. I can’t really complain though, but it would have been nicer to have a little more than fluff in between fights.

All in all, I had a lot of fun playing the game. I liked the extra content they released for the Wii U and that I was able to play it. Though I was sad at the fluff story, it didn’t take me out of the game. I still played it and I still recommend it for anyone who is into Atlus.

I think a nice 8/10 would be great for the game. I really liked it. Want to play it? Check out your nearest game retailer or go to the Switch Website and purchase it.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

So, this is a review that I really wanted to wait for because I quite literally wanted to make sure I played this game so I could write about everything you can do. Oh man, it’s worth it I promise.

So, going to be honest with you I have go to play most parts of this game, the only thing I couldn’t get to yet was the Marriage. So when I get to this part, I will post an update 😀

This is my first Fire Emblem game since the GameCube, so when I saw this was coming out for the switch I was excited! The storylines are just how i remember. They’re super detail orientated as well as let you go your own path if you want. There is just so much to do in this game that it’s just so hard to make a review.

So let’s start with the story. It’s amazing. The amount of everything they included is great. Each month there’s always something going on whether it’s a fight or a party. Every character seems to have a very special role in the game as well. They’re not just thrown in there to take up space. As you go on with the game, and listen and pay attention you can find out what makes everyone tick. Each house leader had their own problems as well and as they grow, they effect the outcome of your game. All in all with out spoiling anything (since the game has so much replay and so much to do ) it’s well worth the money.

When you interact with the other people in the game, you can hurt or make a relationship with them. If you don’t care to know anything about anyone, you might not have a good reputation with them, and they wont help you out. However, if you take the time to learn the likes and dislikes of certain people you can end up getting them into you House. I’ve done that with a few people that weren’t in a house, and it makes combat a lot more fun. I’m just sad to cycle out some people but they always seemed to want nothing to do with learning or anything. So what’s best for the house.

Combat is another amazing thing this game has to offer. the various classes you can pick from and how you get there always makes it an adventure. Each phase in the game is turn based when it comes to combat. You have a few options to pick from when it comes to that. The trick to this is to know what type of play style you’re doing, who can best support that and if they’re capable of doing that.

Now, I am more of a fan of RTS and not Turn based, but I like how they did it. You basically have two options, you can do the strategy yourself or you can select the AI to do it you. When you select the character you want to move, they give you a few options you can do, where you can how and who you can attack. You can even select them to heal if they can obviously.

All in all, this game is amazing. The story and the combat really makes it great. The amount of ways you can interact with the characters and students in the game are numerous. From tea parties to giving them a simple present. Nothing at the moment can beat this game.

With everything being said, this game is a total 10/10. This is a game that I can’t seem to fault, even when I lose a fight. It’s so easy to see your mistake and learn from it, or see several mistakes and learn. I can’t seem to put this game down, and the replay value is there. If I dare say, this is a GOTY.

South Park: Stick of Truth

*****Before I being this review, I want to warn you that there may be words or Phrases that may be offensive to some viewers.. I assure you that everything is part of the game. I found this game fun and amusing. I do enjoy South Park humor as well. I hope you enjoy this review*****

South Park Colorado. Home to Kenny, Cartman, Stan and Kyle.  For many years we have awaited this game!! And with it’s release a few days ago, I couldn’t help but get it! So, as soon as it was done installing I started playing!!!

You start off with your character creation. There are many options you can choose for to start off with.  Hair colors and styles, different outfits. I had a lot of fun making my character. (I posted a picture of him on my Instagram) The entire style of this game is from the TV show. For those who haven’t seen the show yet. It’s a paper based Animation with little movement., Almost like a Stop Animation. They’re basically paper dolls.

As soon as you leave the house, you get to see Butters  fighting an evil elf! You help fend off the elf and then Butters takes you to The Wizard, Cartman. There you pick your Name, but It really doesn’t matter what you pick, they end up calling you Douchebag. From there, you are to pick your class. There are four to choose from. Thief, Warrior, Mage and Jew.  I chose to play a Jew, but I did get to see thief Game play and when you  get the right stats, it is very OP. Jew feels like it would be more of a support class rather than a dps class.

As you go through the story, you get more options open to you, and you are given the Title DragonBorn. (Yes, like   Skyrim) You have the amazing power to control your farts. Yeah, I said that right. You control powerful farts to help you get around the town and defeat your enemies.

Battle-scenes are pretty fun too., when you get use to the controls. I had a difficult time mastering one of the first special techniques you are given. You have your basic attacks that are as powerful as they can depending on how you play/click your mouse.  You also have PP that you can spend on more powerful attacks. For example, my character has a special attacked called “Jew-jitsu”. You have a specific amount of PP, that you can get back by certain spells/attacks, Gear and potions and such.

You find new gear and weapons all over the place. Each gear set has special buffs. There are so many sets too. There’s Elf, doctor, Alien. Just so many!! One of the better weapons is actually a Dildo. It’s pink I believe. I haven’t gotten it yet, but I can’t wait.

Some advice, whatever has a yellow button on it, you can open it. I suggest you do, to get money and to get new items. Don’t forget to look for the chinpokomon that are located all around you, they don’t DO anything but they’re pretty fun to collect. There are 30 all together.

I enjoyed this game, and there is a high replay value. If you haven’t gotten it, you really need to!!! I give this game a 9/10! This is also one of my recommended games as well!!! So go out and have fun!!
