Don’t Starve Together

So I know I said I would be on the ball and actually be on time with reviews…well once more…*sigh* Life just doesn’t like me…Anyways…yeah so New plan…a new better plan that involves planning! AWAY!!!!

I have the most wonderful chance to get to play Don’t Starve Together! This game…is so much fun and challenging at the same time. This review is also delayed, but if you were watching my stream a bit a go, you’d see how much fun I had playing with friends and getting attacked by a giant tree creature… (Positng the link below!)

The concept of this game is simple….don’t starve, don’t go insane and don’t die. Each is difficult in it’s own manner.

Don’t Starve

You go around the world and collect item that may or may not be edible. Most of the time I found if you throw something in the fire you’d be safe but other times I wasn’t as lucky. If you don’t make a cooler or something similar your food will spoil and make you sick..and then you can skip to the third step, don’t die.

Don’t go Insane

This one I found to be difficult when you forget simple things like a camp fire or anything with light for the night time. Once you are at a certain point in your sanity the creepy shadow creatures you see at night start to attack you…and it leave your friend wondering what is wrong with you…A lot. The answer is a lot.

Don’t Di…..arrrrrrgh!

Everything can and will kill you if given the right motive. Whether you try to eat their young or you burn down their home. Nothing is safe, almost like Australia….We had Wolves, bees, Tall legged birds and even Trees (You know…the things with Bark and leaves that aren’t supposed to move?) attack us….It was rough but at least I could see my Sister, Anabell, again.

Did you see the graphics?

I sure did! The unique style this game brings a new Idea that simple is better (kind of like Minecraft but not so Pixelated ya know?). Each character, item and creature have their own special colors, shapes and characteristics. This game really stands out to me!

Shake, shake that game gurl!

It’s a click to play game, like Diablo, Wildstar and many other games. I feel you have a little less control of where you stop moving than controller and WSAD games, but I feel like that may just be me! I found myself walking into the wrong areas because I misclicked or held my mouse buttons down for too long. I mean, I don’t mind trouble, but sometimes it happened at the worse times! Oops!

All joking aside, I fell in love with this game. I like the lack of voice particularly. Each character had it’s own unique sound so even if you weren’t looking at your screen you could tell when someone needed your attention. The graphics and the points of survival made this one of my top games for 2015… I only wish I had more hours in the day to enjoy this game!!

Don’t stave Together gets 9/10 carrots. I highly recommend this game to anyone who’s looking for a great way to spend time and a little money. This game becomes more fun when you bring your friends with you! Survive or perish together!

Fantasy Life

I came into this game thinking it was any fantasy rpg knock off but I was mistaken!!!! I haven’t been this addicted to a game since Pokemon and World of Warcraft came out. The only thing I would change is having two 3DS so I can play all of my favorite games at the same time, since wait times are so silly when you DPs stuff. Uuuuuuugh!!!!

You are (insert a random class here) who has to go through many quests to ensure people stay awake, puppies look ferocious and your child king remains happy. You go around this world killing mining fishing and cooking to make your friends and towns folk happy.

When your first start a character you can customize to your hearts content. There are many different things to choose from. From hair with kitty ears to a bald face with big eyes. You can look any way you want and no matter what people will adore you and ask for help. I wanted to make the cutest character possible, and every time I load my game I can’t help but to awe in its cuteness.

Now its time for the important half serious business shiz that makes this a review (I’m kidding about being serious). You get the fantastic option of playing this game how you chose. You can have your name chanted around the town or simply cook for fun. I started off as a wizard (I like a good pew pew in my games). I enjoyed how I could pick what spell to use and you get to level them up. When I got bored (haha that’s a joke) with wizard I swapped over to a few of the other classes to try them out.

Each class has its out outfit weapon and spell layout. You get to kick ass and take names at the same time. When you have a companion it seems to make combat a little easier but sometimes they get a mind of their own and go off and forget to help you. Its a case of the shinies.

Like i said above, you have the options of purchasing pets in this game that will follow you around and make sure you have a fighting buddy. There was one thing I think you should know before I get side tracked…when you are doing the main story line quests any companion that you purchase cannot go with you. I got super excited to have a little white puppy with me on my adventures but was quickly upset that he couldn’t come with me when (spoilers and more spoilers) happened.

I really enjoyed this game and I feel there’s replay value if you’re up for a clean slate. Once you pick a class you have to go through and intro but after that (I’m very happy about this) you can skip the intro and go right into the quests that start you off on your new life. You also get to chose the life you would like to play. You’re never on a time schedule or pressured into doing your quests. Spend the whole day fishing or catching bugs. Its your life. Your fantasy life.

Though I loved this game, the joystick was uncomfortable and I could only play for a certain amount of time before I had to take a break, since I have nerve damage in my hands. I enjoy games that I can change how I move, instead of relying on one stop. I don’t like having to put down a game I am enjoying =(

I give this game a 7/10. I can see many hours playing this game and they are enjoyable but I feel like if you don’t know where to look you can get stuck with nothing to do for a period of time, so you sit there with your woof woof and stare into the open areas.

I also wanted to apologize to you guys for posting a little late. Its been busy here and I have barely found the time to sit down and write this hahah.

Lionheart Tactics

I have always enjoyed real time tactic games and this is one of the better ones I have played this year. It’s a free to play game and I feel like I would pay for this game if it came to it, that’s how much I enjoyed it.

The storyline to me is a bit cliché. You are a knight that has to fight an evil presence with a group of people. The more people you gather the more you can do when you fight. You have the option to pick melee classes and some ranged ones. If you plan right you can make the best team. I personally use two melee and two rang with a healer.

In enjoy the fighting style and how the turns work. It reminds me a lot of Super Mario RPG and Final Fantasy Tactics. You start out in a map that you can literally move which ever way you want to get a better view of your enemies and the map to better plan your attack. Once you finish your move it is the enemy’s turn. Whenever someone gets a hit off, there is a retaliation. Sometimes that’s a make or break moment.

When you reach a certain limit you have to combine other heroes to make the ones you want to use stronger. I have noticed this becoming a huge part of mobile games. Combining different heroes to make a certain things and people stronger. So is this a new trend or something? What ever happened to good ol’ leveling?

The graphics are crystal clear. I feel like they’re fit for a PC they’re so clear. I found it hard to put my Shield down. This game was both graphical intriguing as well as easy to play. Its all tap and slide.

This game is enjoyable both gameplay and graphic wise. I had a lot of fun playing it and this will be in my top 10 in January! Don’t miss out on the great chance to play this game OK? If you love tactical games then you should try it out!

I give this game a 8/10. I wasn’t a big fan of the story it was too cliché for me. I did enjoy how you play the game and the different types of game play.

Mario Kart 8

I’ve been a big fan of Mario Kart for years now, since I was about 10 years old. I was first introduced to the Series in the N64 and I fell in love with it. Once I got Toad, there was NO stopping me! Except for Rainbow Road…Yeah that was pretty hard!

With the new installment of Mario Kart, you get to travel to different locations, both new and remastered, and race some old friends and some new ones. Like with each game, the goal is to win the race in 3 laps.  I must say, to actually have the time to sit down and place this, I realized how much I actually miss the other games.  I fancy using the Game Pad instead of controllers (something that I don’t recommend for multi player as the tiny screen splits off and it’s harder to see) so that it’s easier for me to see what’s going on. The Game Pad also lets you see where others are on the race track as well as the score, and of course my favorite part, the horn!!! The controls are easy to get use to, only took me about 1 minutes. A is accelerate, left bumper is item ect ect.

One of the things I found interesting if when you play with more people, the NPC’s get more intelligent when one person is doing better than the others, they don’t tend to go after the better player but seem to harass the players who are following behind.  I feel it to be an incentive to whoop butt, but of course when you start to, the NPC shut you down…Oh well! Just means you have to be first next time!!!

The graphics, oh my gosh, are awesome. N64 Rainbow Road remake is so beautiful. I loved it back in the day but I really love it now! The course itself is still like it was, a wee bit difficult but once I got my grasp, it was a piece of cake! I especially enjoy the looks the characters give when they pass or hit you with an item. Sometimes they are just too funny it’s hard to concentrate on the next race.  For a kids game, they put a lot of time and effort into making it both visually and audio appealing. There is no sound that I don’t like in this game, as there have in the past.  I’m very happy with this game!

Mario Kart 8 is not only a fun installment to the Mario Kart Series, it offers a bit of Nostalgia for those who have been a loyal follower, and an exciting new game for those who are new to the series. I enjoy this game when I have the free time to kill or just to relax with some friends.  The NPC intelligence is very nice but can get super annoying, especially in Multi Player. I love the graphics and music! They’re unique to each Track. player and NPC!

I give this game a 8/10!

Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper

I have always been a fan of this series. From Dynasty Warriors to now, this game has always been in my top 10. Once more, I am very pleased with it.

(Slight spoilers ahead!)

As the game starts out, you are fighting a giant hydra that has appeared. As you play through, you find the game slowly growing more difficult until you are told retreat…and the Hydra wins. As you retreat, you are confronted by a spirit who drags you into this world and tells you she can help you defeat the hydra, and basically gives you a redo. Depending on how you play, you can defeat the hydra or let History replay itself.

The actual story line as you play is heartwarming as well and exciting. You get to see what each person was doing before the Hydra came forth and set out to destroy the entire world. You help them gather points as well as Allies.  Each character had their own set of allies you can play as well as specific talents each hold. I like making custom teams and building those up. I’ve never been one to enjoy pre-made teams!

The controls, like with their other games, are easy when you get the hang on them. I found myself hitting the wrong buttons or using moves accidently due to them being close together. I’ve accidently swapped characters during a fight and it almost cost my that battle. I wasn’t very happy with that. I feel like if i had used the Wii U’s touch pad I would have done a lot better then using the actual controller. But I’ve stuck with the controller. I also found that using the Wand to be more of a pain than in the butt than convenience as I do have nerve problems and after awhile controllers hurt.

I really enjoyed this game! There were some points of it where it was difficult but the key point it had always remained fun for me.  I give this game a 6/10. Though I really enjoyed the game, Some parts were a little bugged or just kinda silly. There were just some points where I lost interest a little bit but I always managed to get back into it.

Goat Simulator

Hey guys! Before I get this review started, I want to apologize for not posting for a few weeks. I got a new job and it has been taking up a bit of my time but don’t worry! I got into aa nice rhythm and once again I will be posting reviews!!!!

So let’s get started.

Have you ever wanted to be a goat? Living with other goats in a tiny fenced in yard with a goat castle? Of course not! You want to go out and explore and cause chaos!  Goat Simulator gives you a great insight to the might goat world! With it’s humorous takes on physics and the way a goat is, this will easily be one of my top 10 games of 2014.

You start off in a tiny pen with other goats, from there you can stay in your little enclosed area and play with the other goats or go out and explore! You can interact with many objects by licking them as well as gather up items in a gigantic ball.  Once you do the demonic Ritual, you have the option to fly. If you wish for your goat to stay pure, then you can find a jet pack. Please note, you can’t control where you fly so God’s Speed.

There is no real story. You run around, finding artifacts and destroying the entire cities with your crazy goat antics. One of my favorite things to do is to grab the ball shooter from the  batting cage and using it to shoot people and blow stuff up. It was even better in Slo mo. Watching the balls slowly hurl at something and watching what happens.

The controls are simple and easy to get a hang of. I did catch myself baahing a little bit in the beginning but that made it more fun for me. There is also a nice text to speak feature in the Microsoft SAM voice. I’ll be posting a video of it later this week about it. My friends and I had a lot of fun with this game’s feature.

I loved this game, and I feel that it is worth it!!! I give this game a 9.5/10.

Interested in the game you just read about?

South Park: Stick of Truth

*****Before I being this review, I want to warn you that there may be words or Phrases that may be offensive to some viewers.. I assure you that everything is part of the game. I found this game fun and amusing. I do enjoy South Park humor as well. I hope you enjoy this review*****

South Park Colorado. Home to Kenny, Cartman, Stan and Kyle.  For many years we have awaited this game!! And with it’s release a few days ago, I couldn’t help but get it! So, as soon as it was done installing I started playing!!!

You start off with your character creation. There are many options you can choose for to start off with.  Hair colors and styles, different outfits. I had a lot of fun making my character. (I posted a picture of him on my Instagram) The entire style of this game is from the TV show. For those who haven’t seen the show yet. It’s a paper based Animation with little movement., Almost like a Stop Animation. They’re basically paper dolls.

As soon as you leave the house, you get to see Butters  fighting an evil elf! You help fend off the elf and then Butters takes you to The Wizard, Cartman. There you pick your Name, but It really doesn’t matter what you pick, they end up calling you Douchebag. From there, you are to pick your class. There are four to choose from. Thief, Warrior, Mage and Jew.  I chose to play a Jew, but I did get to see thief Game play and when you  get the right stats, it is very OP. Jew feels like it would be more of a support class rather than a dps class.

As you go through the story, you get more options open to you, and you are given the Title DragonBorn. (Yes, like   Skyrim) You have the amazing power to control your farts. Yeah, I said that right. You control powerful farts to help you get around the town and defeat your enemies.

Battle-scenes are pretty fun too., when you get use to the controls. I had a difficult time mastering one of the first special techniques you are given. You have your basic attacks that are as powerful as they can depending on how you play/click your mouse.  You also have PP that you can spend on more powerful attacks. For example, my character has a special attacked called “Jew-jitsu”. You have a specific amount of PP, that you can get back by certain spells/attacks, Gear and potions and such.

You find new gear and weapons all over the place. Each gear set has special buffs. There are so many sets too. There’s Elf, doctor, Alien. Just so many!! One of the better weapons is actually a Dildo. It’s pink I believe. I haven’t gotten it yet, but I can’t wait.

Some advice, whatever has a yellow button on it, you can open it. I suggest you do, to get money and to get new items. Don’t forget to look for the chinpokomon that are located all around you, they don’t DO anything but they’re pretty fun to collect. There are 30 all together.

I enjoyed this game, and there is a high replay value. If you haven’t gotten it, you really need to!!! I give this game a 9/10! This is also one of my recommended games as well!!! So go out and have fun!!

Bravely Default

I have been very excited for this game. I was lucky enough to get a chance to play this game, and I must say. This is one of my 2014 top picks.

The game has Final Fantasy feel to it, so I was instantly in love with it. The story line was well written and the players were adorable and powerful.

The game play itself is rather easy to get a hold of. You can do regular attack, Bravely attacks as well as Default/defense. When you attack with Bravery, you’re basically getting multiple attacks.  So it’s good in a lot of battles. Default is really a big defense you have. Both are on a slight cool down.  There are 23 jobs to choose from in the game and I found the Thief to be the most fun. One thing I did notice is that it can be sort of a grind fest sometimes with getting enemies and quests that can be a little too difficult for your level. I do recommend though, getting a few levels before you try to do anything. It will help you out in the long run.

The graphic aspect of this game is pretty awesome. I really liked the game with the 3D on, I found that it makes it a little easier to find your way around the city. Fighting and running in the map looks very nice in 3D as well. It is a very Anime-esk style of game like a few of the hand-held Final Fantasy Games. Each Job having their own unique outfit helps as well with feeling the job.

Once you get a hang on them, the controls are simple and mindless. You use the Stick to move, Left Bumper for Bravely and Right Bumper for Default. It’s pretty standard for a game.

I give this game a thumbs up! I really enjoyed it and I can’t wait to pick it up! The intense battles and the opening of new Jobs there’s so much of this game to explore!

This games get 8/10. I felt that this game repeated itself a little too much sometimes and grinding isn’t one of my favorite things to do. But the Good outweighs the bad!!

Also, I do want to apologize for not posting a review last week. There were somethings going on that prevented me from making a review!!!

Titanfall: Beta

I have been waiting for this game for awhile now and I had the chance to play in the Beta! Now, you may be asking “Why are you talking about a Beta? What happened to the NDA?”  Well, the creators have no issued a NDA, they want people to stream, talk about and just enjoy the game! Everyone should be able to enjoy this game. This is what I plan on doing! So here we go!

If you have not had the chance to hear about this game, then you may be in for a wonderful treat! This is the perfect mix of some pretty awesome games from Call of Duty to Halo. You are in charge of a Titanfall, a giant Mecha with awesome guns and cool powers! The Titanfall has this telekinesis power you can use to stop rockets being launched at you and what not.

When not in a Titanfall, you are a pilot with a pistol that auto-locks on your targets, yes multiple targets. With one pull of your trigger, your pistol can take down multiple enemy or just a single enemy hitting all of their vital parts.

The tutorial goes into vast details about your weapons, Titanfall and how to use everything to it’s potential. I really felt like I was being trained to go on a real life mission.

Lastly, the PvP seemed very fair, and very realistic. There were some people who seemed to be cheating but that did not ruin my game at all! It was very enjoyable. When it comes to the realistic points, if you were to come into contact with a Titanfall and it was to step on you, well you’re kind of dead.

This game was very well planned out and the people who made it showed a very obviously they wanted to make a great game!

This review is slightly vague, I know, but I want you to play this game! I want you to experience everything about this game!

I give this beta a 9/10!

Pokemon Bank and Pokemon Transporter

Finally, after waiting for so many months, the Pokemon Bank and the Pokemon Transporter have finally been released on the 3DS!  This wonderful little addon is a great way to keep all of your pokemon in a nice safe spot for you to use later.  Just a quick note, In order to have access to the Bank and the Transporter you need to have the respective games in your 3ds. Pokemon X or Y for the Bank. Black/2 and White/2 for the Transporter

The Pokemon Bank, is strictly for the Pokemon X and the Pokemon Y games. You are given 100 boxes to store your caught Pokemon. To gain access to the bank, you will need to download it from the Nintendo store. The app itself is totally free, but they are adding a yearly (Yes, Yearly) charge to it. I will post a link below that goes into more details about the yearly charge. They aren’t that bad so about 5 USD to keep over 3000 Pokemon plus whatever you get from Black and White? That’s a pretty sweet deal, if you ask me.

Now, why did I mention Black and White? Pokemon Transporter, that’s why! The Pokemon Transporter is a neat little download you get from the Pokemon Bank that allows you to add your Pokemon from Pokemon Black, Pokemon White, Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 to your Pokemon x or Pokemon Y game! All you have to do is inside your Black/2 or White/2 game is put what Pokemon you want in your X and Y game they need to be in your PC Box 1 and it moved the entire box to the Pokemon Bank. To get those Pokemon, you open your bank and go to the Transport Box and they will be right there! =D

It tells you in the transporter but just in case you don’t want to read that. Any Pokemon that you transfer from any of the black and white games, will not be able to go back to that game. It will be permanently on the X and Y game. Any nick name given to the Pokemon in Black and white will be reset upon moving them as well.

So anyways, This is a fun and quick way to keep all the Pokemon (All 718 Plus some!) and become a Pokemon Master! WHOO! So go out there and Catch ’em all!!!!
